Elden Ring: The Noob's Guide Part 1 (Ultimate Beginner Guide)

Someone please help. All golden runes locations in this video are pauper runes at best in my first play through. Is this due to patch I am playing. Or lack of patch. Please help

Great guide, it's refreshing to watch someone who has clearly practiced before doing the video. One small thing: the brass shield at gatefront ruins may have been patched- I use gatefront ruins as a testing site for new weapons, I have lost count of the number of times I've killed those guards, and I have never had them drop the brass shield, in fact I had no idea it was even a lootable item until I watched this video.

I just got Elden Ring less than a week ago and have spent many hours playing it now and I still learned a lot from this video. Thanks for making it! ❤️🙏

You're better off just fighting the Godskin boss instead of trying to make that patched somber smithing stone 7 jump. Just get your great sword up to level 6 and get your health and dexterity leveled up, craft a few sleeping pots to throw at him and he can be defeated without too much pain and suffering. After defeating him a route opens up that you can use to get to stone 7, though it does require a stone sword key. I had a much easier time getting it this way than even using the Four Belfries wrong warp glitch. The timing on that glitch was too tight and I could never get it, though I think I was being betrayed by my crazy fast pc, which loaded things too fast to do it.

Little confused, you say in the video you only need 13 strrength and 12 dex to use the greatsword, however for me it says I need 30 strength, in which video do you actually start using it? Am I missing something?

Currently stuck in the volcano next to the death machine, the jump has most likely been patched as the size is now way smaller and matches the edges above it, any help?

Opinions please. So is it okay to go skipping through most things to create our build? It's my first playthrough and I've been going to areas out of limgrave running past enemies to find incantation for my faith build and all that stuff. Am i cheating myself by doing this? I feel as if im skipping things that i shouldn't, but at the same time i feel like I need to do those things and just farm runes in order to level up and make things actually fun and be a powerful character. Someone let me know please. This is my first souls game and I feel like I am doing things absolutely wrong.

In Volcano Manor, the jump to get the somber smithing stone 7 has been patched. They made the ledge smaller.

Can someone comment the amount of allocated stats (such as Dex, STr, etc at the very end) I can't remember and I cant find it either. What is the end goal for this build?

why exactly is doing a speedrun a beginners guide? is this really the intended order of doing stuff in this game? when starting a new account running through everywhere picking up stuff you dont know what it does and what you need it for etc?

I died on that "super easy" forlorn hound boss 4 times. With the summons. lol

how are you supposed to know this when playing for the first time?!

Finally progressing thanks to this. I still highly doubt I'll ever be good enough at this game to actually beat any of the bosses, but at least I'm progressing for now by following this, instead of wandering aimlessly and constantly dying. Being as overpowered as possible is really the only way I'm going to get anywhere in this game.

as a new player one should start learning the timing of parrying RIGHT NOW do not wait until later u need to build the muscle memory so to speak early on

To get somber smithing stone 7, I ended up going to twin belfries, warping to crumbling farum azula. Doing the wrong warp glitch, and getting the stone there.

But to your point about not using an OP weapon / sword art.... Is this guide not essentially doing the same thing? Getting leveling materials to make a +9 Bloodhound Sword and then returning to the starting zones where you 1 shot everything....does that still teach a new player the rhythm of the game when everything dies in 1 hit or no more than several hits?
