How to fix the aiming sensitivity in Metro Exodus

preset 2 on max sens is WAYYYY to slow I cant play this game until the boost this by at least x2

Another good thing to tell folks is that they can use Mouse and Keyboard on Xbox!

I've never known a game with such bad controller settings, who thought it was a good idea to not only have presets but to hide settings like deadzone, vertical/horizontal sensitivity and aim acceleration from the player.

This could have worked, if we also got an option for vertical sensitivity.. Having fast horizontal, but slow vertical really didn't work for me :c

I was able to get a pretty good sensitivity on my playthrough, hopefully this improves that.

And please help man, i don't have a controller and play on keyboard and the sensivity is bad. How can I change it?

changing the settings wont fix hit registration. thats my main problem is seeing a bullet pass through an enemy's head and them being alerted. stealth was pointless without only doing melee because silenced pistol shots never reliably hit the target dispite visually doing so. literally ruined the gsme for me havent been back hope they fix for ps5 and not just "omg the graphics"

The ADS sensitivity is the same as non-ads sensitivity.
There's no option

With a mouse does it actually feel like a true mouse and keyboard gameplay? Or is just the poorly optimized game pad responsiveness on a mouse?

That motion blur and pop-in issue in the distance, along with the aiming difficulty gave me flashbacks of my last rage quit on this game. Too many issues got me fed up

Rainja, thanks for this. The first person movement and aiming in the FPS engine of Metro E is just awful, IMO. Totally agree with you, the substance of the game is fantastic. But, this first person engine just stinks, aside from the fact that, yes, the visuals are fantastic. A high quality FPS game shouldn't suffer from aiming as well as movement sluggishness.

I recently finished the first two games and I just couldn’t get the sensitivity right. I was messing around and found that preset 2 starts off where preset 1 ends (at least in those games), if that makes sense. So if I max out the sensitivity on preset 1 and then max out the sensitivity on 2, it’ll be even faster. It’s such a weird way of doing sensitivity but whatever.

I bought all 3 metro games... played the first two and thoroughly enjoyed them. The controls were not as bad. I was so hyped to play Exodus bc of all the improvements and more exploration of the world. Just to have it shit on by lazy development and patches. Man... it’s truly a shame. This game could’ve been my top 3 for console; but since the controls are so trash? It’s in my bottom 3.

I really don't understand why we still can't use mouse & keyboard on consoles, at least in campaign or story mode.

I have a cronusmax and i made a script for it that decreases the deadzone of the thumbsticks this has helped a lot the game is playable now but still far from perfect

I tryed to play with sensitivity little bit but aiming was so bad that ı died like 20 times in the prolouge and ı rage quit then removed the game lol cant stand the aiming of this game

What the hell the version on the pc doesn't even have the same sensitivity options. The sense for hip fire is the same as ads here.
