Ya classic mode is best when ur just starting. Upgrades mode is easier to build big flexible builds with high card draw and stuff. It's hard to return to classic.

You not caring about card enhancement on a run when you could have had tipple enhanced clubs was driving me crazy. You could have been doing like 7 more damage (if you'd visited the church and desecrated the one in the sands) for every club in every combo you played except those that take specific numbers where you'd simply make the combo more easily since enhanced cards can play into combos either as their shown value or as their enhanced value.

Based on the first run, you should check elites more. It tells you what each will do. Take a few more of those fights for some extra chips to upgrade.

The game seems a bit rigid after playing so much balatro. I think I like balatro much more, but it was fun to revisit

Getting the two bucks right after the shop while missing 1 buck has to be the worst feeling.

The best tip for this game I can give: You need to be a little more conservative with your resources. Regular run-of-the-mill (non-elite) battles, are rarely worth using too many resources on. You really want to stockpile for boss fights and elite fights in Dungeons. You can use a couple of gems or energy, just not spend too many of them. You also wanna consider what the enemy will do and if it matters. Sometimes you go a little overkill, and you use resources to deal 90% of the enemy's health when they aren't doing anything anyway, when you can just do 50% of their health 2 turns in a row and win anyways. And Classic mode is just fine, it's not too hard at all. Upgrades mode gets very easy, very quick.

Classic mode may be vicious and then some but upgrade mode makes the game way too easy unless ya restrain yourself on what to make easier. It is atleast nice to learn new characters with to get a loose grasp on how they play, but that's about it.

So proud of you for using your consumables. Hardest thing for me to get over to do well in this game.

I actually played this like 2 or 3 years back and i absolutely loved the game, but… i kinda forgot about it… well ill start playing it again now xD

After unlocking all the characters, Wizard is by far my favorite start in this game. Getting sleeves + bag of holding is God-tier. "Oh, you can one-shot me if you hit a Blackjack? Too bad I've got all the Aces in my back pocket," etc...
