The people that would fall for these scams are not smart enough to read the eBay rules. these are silly scams. a first timer would know these. wow! hu, reality though. seriously. the scammers are just not that smart, I think it's some kind "Thing" wrong with their brain, they want to be thief part of their brain is just not hooked up right and it coincides with being a MORON.

First time scam on eBay and hoping for my money back. I won a camera bid and I contacted the seller, the seller never answered so next day I call costumer service and they told me that they will contact the seller. Then the seller send me the message asking me why I did the appeal request, he told me that he will send the package to the next day. I wait for the update but he never responded, at the 5th day he sent the tracking number and because of that my appeal got close, and the problem is that the tracking number said the package was delivered already but it never arrived. I contacted costumer service again and they told me that I will get my money back, so I hope they help me to recover my money

The best way is to avoid ebay all together. It has become a scam site

Do not sell on eBay they hold your money for 2 weeks. Earning interest from your money.

Why can't buyers ban sellers if sellers can ban buyers.

So if I sent my item and someone says they didn’t receive it but I have proof it delivered then I keep the money right?

EBay will not refund a buyer if the item tracking number shows “delivered” if you open an “item not received” claim.

My order was shipped from California to where I live in NY and was delivered and signed for the next day in the same state it was shipped from which was California…. I contacted the seller and he thought that was weird and actually refunded me. I just don’t understand what happened my address on eBay was correct as well

I just had a buyer I open an inad - said I had a counterfeit Macys sweater 😒 I left the tags on their and it literally was the same thing I posted in the item description. Sucks because I had to refund them just so my account won’t be negatively affected.

I had much more positive results with eBay and my bank than PayPal that started charging accounts because the consumer says the wrong political thing or something they didn't like and they would not accept my documentation a few times? How is it my bank was able to get my money refunded because I was right and the seller was wrong???

Sir scam to me a buyer with I'd aes95 he order and when I shipped item added tracking after 2 day he open case item not received so how it possible 2 days delivery than I added tracking no in despute and item was in transit but after 5 days ebay close case in favor of buyer and release the funds and debit me so he also get item and also gained back his money what a new type of scam with me which ebay also support. Sir in this case what I do buyer scam me 85 dollar. Sir just explain as in ebay stupid decision makers are present bc why they go in favor of scammers

Let me ask you this, why do people make eBay accounts to sell something with no intentions of ever shipping it out? like what's even the point, eBay doesn't release the funds until you provide tracking and and shows item was delivered to the person, so why do they even do it?

I don't know if I got scammed here, but I sold a small Transformer toy on eBay on August 20 and delivered on August 24. Today (September 21) I get a notice from eBay saying the item never arrived and eBay took my money. Thus sounds fishy to me. I tried contacting the buyer, but haven't gotten a response

My buyer said they never got it and I had to return the money. Tracking went all the way to NJ and then it stopped tracking. It was in their city, so I wonder if the post office didn't scan it and dropped it off and she received my box and days later when she was going to leave me feedback, saw that the tracking didn't update to "delivered." Without contacting me about it, she went straight to ebay and claimed she didn't get the box. So now i'm waiting for the tracking to update and it never did. It's lost. Either this scenario happened or someone in the post office took it. Or the box was stolen somehow. Just weird cause when ebay checks out my account, all they'll see are all my packages marked as "delivered", except for that one. And 100% great feedback ratings. So, i can't say she scammed me, but my gut was telling me otherwise. Why couldn't she just ping me and ask me about it before getting ebay involved especially when the package was nearby? another one is when they get acess to your acount , make a buy and use someones credit card and send the item to another adress and the gets the item into hidden folder. (the most stupid thing amazon and ebay have). you go to your acount and dont find anything there ...then you keep receiving messages to evaluate the transaction or the item is arriving and only then you notice something´s wrong. got my acount banned for this some weeks ago and dont even sell anything, just a regular buyer. sent a message to ebay and until today no awnser....

I got scammed as a seller on eBay. Currently going through it right now. eBay didn't allow me to have profit off my item and wanted to charge the buyer extra fees for the refund. Please wish us me and the buyer luck!

i guess there is no protection in case you want to sell in game items

eBay ALWAYS sides with the buyer. If you cant afford to loose an item then dont sell it on eBay. Also trust your gut if you think the buyer looks suspicious and is shipping to a crazy, wierd address. If you are really worried about scam address, check the address on Google maps street view and check out where it is going. I once had a suspicious order for a high value Bose item that was to be shipped to a VERY odd address and it looked like a flop house in the desert on Google maps. I cancled the order, deleted the item and relisted a few weeks later.

I did once a transaction of ebay, but the buyer send me money to Paypal first and contacted me through email and gave me address to send item to, what I did I contacted my papal and I told them detail about transaction and then I send the item (new expensive 300 dollar football ball I received as a gift but I didn't want it) to the seller, and no problem

Scammed 3 times in months . Close the account is all you can do .

I once had a Buyer message me through eBay that the address he gave me was the wrong one and could I send it to the correct address. This was after I'd already mailed it out. I went ahead and did a change of addressee with the post office. I don't recall how much this service cost, but the post office was able to catch it and mail it to the Buyer's correct address. Needless to say, it ate up my profit on the sale of this item. Is there something else I could have done? If I'd left it alone, would the post office have returned the package to me? Thanks.

I had something similar happen to me, someone used the credit card of another person and their home address to open an account on ebay. They purchased my item and while it was in transit they redirected the package to a different address.

Now the person who had their identity stolen has filed a dispute with their bank and ebay is investigating. I called them and they told me not to worry, if the bank wins I will still be protected under seller's protection, and they will pay the bank and me. There's no way for that to happen the item sold for $8,300 so they'll have to payout $17,000 total.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of scam and how it's resolved by ebay?

I’ve gotten scammed a few times by sellers on ebay. They took my money, never shipped and / or sent a fake tracking number, and went silent. Ebay always reimbursed me. Never buy anything from “sponsored” ads on Facebook. Many of them are scams and there’s no buyer protection.

I just had to dispute a charge on ebay with my credit card co. because the seller kept changing the delivery date so I couldn't cancel the order. Ebay won't help you unless your delivery date is passed by three days. The seller never sent the item. It's still sitting there waiting to send... and ebay won't help you no matter what you think. I don't want to bother with filing a police report. BTW the seller had good reviews so something is wrong with their account,

I bought a Bulova mens watch advertised and with pics of a solid gold 14k case & buckle. I received a 10K gold "filled" item. Apparently this vontage model originally sold in either case types. A difference in worth of maybe $1K. Frankly, It looked good and I put in away for 6 months before I found the discrepancy. Fool me once... It's a jungle out there kids. Buyer beware.

Man I hope I didn't get scammed on eBay today by the seller I guess I'll have to wait and see but I paid through the eBay app so I don't see how it could have been a scam
