Awesome comparison.
ОтветитьThank you for the video! 😊 I’m planning to get a Zoom lens and considering the 24-70. Would you recommend this lens for travel (videos/photos)?
Ответитьlove your video man! after using much prime lenses during travel, carrying tons of lenses around, finally decided to get the 24-70! btw, what lenses did you used to record this video!? It looks so gooooddd
ОтветитьI'm sorry my friend, but Gerard took better photos.
ОтветитьZoom lens looked better tbh just because the composition didn't justify F1.4. Trees and branches look bad when overly blurred in my opinion, and bright splotchy highlights dominating the bokeh also looked off. It just had no flow. F1.4 shines when the highlights are small and bright like streetlights, or when there are large textured objects in the background like mounatains but at a dimmer brightness than the subject. Good demonstration.
ОтветитьI am deciding on 2 different scenarios either a 35 or 50mm 1.4 together with a canon 70-200 is ii. Or ill go with a Sigma/Tamron 24-70 and a 85 1.8, choose for me i cant decide
ОтветитьSuper Beautiful Lady🎉🎉🎉
Ответитьi think one issue is you are a better photographer than the other guy so its harder to judge but it was a great video none the less, thanks!
ОтветитьThis video has helped guide my decision in purchasing a lens to start out my photography/film career. Thanks Gerard. Great video.
ОтветитьDamn i came to check lenses and now I think I'm in love
ОтветитьMy genuine request, If you wanna shows us comparison, and then it should be ditto same position of model. We can't make conclusions sometimes because of positioning and placement differences.
ОтветитьCould you please share what focal points you selected and also was it one shot or AI servo?
ОтветитьPlease pronounce boKEH correctly, especially when in Japan
ОтветитьGreat video, but the full comparison it would be great to see the low light setting.
My aps-c is fully equipped with primes and now I’m assembling FF. Here i wouldnt need FF at all.
If I buy a prime vs zoom, than its also because the better low light performance
What I got out of this was 24mm 1.4 & 85mm 1.4 for Photos and 24mm-70mm for Video shooting
ОтветитьCutting off the hands and arms, and too much of the legs. This is why it's important to make your composition count as much as the exposure and focus.
ОтветитьI use prime lenses more often but I love the result from the 24-70 zoom in this video.
ОтветитьThank you so much guys for this awesome informative video! I got bunch of great information which will help me to choose the right lens for my work in future! God bless and good luck!
Ответитьwhat camera body did you use ?
ОтветитьCool guys looks like Japan or Korea 📸 great work
ОтветитьI think they are perfectly good I love zooms and primes depending on my situation I find myself on primes more but zooms when I'm feeling lazy but I usually carry them in my bag
Ответитьawesome video it what I'm looking for
Ответитьshe looks so beautiful❤
ОтветитьGood Video, absolutely see a place for both. Agree that the difference in sharpness is much less now a days. Definitely prefer zooms for events and travel, and for portraits hard to beat an 85mm f1.4.
Ответитьnow i know that Gerard and Mitch are 2 different dudes :))
ОтветитьPro fotografers - nobody uses flash 🤦♂️
ОтветитьI shoot w/ tamron 70-200 f2.8 for portraits
ОтветитьHow about you show the photos more than your faces
ОтветитьIf ever you want to have a redo of this, it might a better comparison if both photographers shoot her at the same time, in the same spots? That way we have more controlled variable to make the comparison even more noticeable. Nonetheless, I enjoyed this!
Ответитьgreat
ОтветитьIf you're a photographer that also dabbles in video 24-70 is a godsend
ОтветитьWhat presets do you guys use if any? Can you guys make a tutorial on coloring/grading? Thank you!
ОтветитьBeautiful 🤩 beautiful 😻 1- 85mm And 2- 24-70 ! But Prime Better! 😊
Ответитьthanks for making the video.
ОтветитьI think one of the best combo ever sigma 24-70mm + 85mm 1.8 or 1.4 great content! 👌 keep it up 🙏❤
ОтветитьI vary between both primes and zooms. I love my Sony 24mm 1.4 GM and TAMRON 35-150 2-2.8 lenses!
ОтветитьPrime lens bokeh was something to see vs the Zoom lens.
ОтветитьPrimes have a different feel. Zooms have a different feel. It all depends on your taste. My love for Sigma 35 1.4
Ответитьdone subscribe...
Ответитьimpressive 24-70 beautiful pose and shat... make the photos interesting even u have the prime if you dont have the nice pose or passionate ur photos will not be great ..
Ответитьwhat is this location?
ОтветитьI love primes but my love for zooms came back when I bought the canon 28-70 f2 it replaced all my primes except for the 50mm f/1.2 😅 great comparison guys loved it
ОтветитьTo be honest, I like the zoom lens. Maybe because I can see the environment also. It's like if I go somewhere for travel I want to take a portrait, and also I want to that I was there.
ОтветитьYou 3 all smashed it! Great vid man
Ответитьso good you guys !!! love this 😍
ОтветитьSmooth post, fast paced comparisons — side by side images tell the story. Manufacturer also a factor — likely can’t generalize, IMO. Cheers!
ОтветитьPrimes all day! ☝️
ОтветитьPaper scissors rock hey!!! Mitch with the no balances 👌🏽
