When i Built what you built, it wasnt spawning slime did you put a switch or something?

Reminds me of the OG invincibility setups where you would just grapple onto a meteorite/hellstone ore block and take constant damage from the heat to become invincible

There is a method that involves using hoiks to constantly take fall damage so there is not slides to worry about, it's jarring on the screen but if you can swing through the disorienting screen movement it's pretty fool proof

If u use the transmutation glitch u can create unobtainable chests and when u hover over the top of them u cant take damage. U also cant attack or have summons but u can use sentries or traps to cheese things

Great so it doesn’t work in the only bosses I need it to work on

Theres a glitch that allows you to place a golden chest which you shouldnt be able to, mousing over it immobilizes your character and makes you immune to all damage

Instead of doing that, you can just go to Terrasavr+ and give yourself the endurance buff 10 times. So you don’t have to sit in one area 100% of the time. That’s extremely annoying.

You use the cross necklace for invincibility methods.

I use the cross necklace because it helps in the hard struggles of battle.

well the only bosses i ever struggle with are wall of flesh and moonlord, so that sucks

my friend discovered a bug in an old version of the Calamity mod where, if you drink every alcoholic item in the game back to back, you’re meant to die of alcohol poisoning, but instead you become unkillable, but unable to deal damage
he spontaneously died after a few minutes

Technically speaking, there is another way
the philosophers stone glitch (which is super cool btw) can let you spawn in the top half of an unused chest, and if you hover your cursor over it you’re completely invincible including against EOL and the DG
The issue is that summons disappear when hovering over this chest, and you can’t use items

But sentries stay for some odd reason

Why not just use spikes to deal the self damage? That's how I've always done it

If it doesn't work in Master Mode, it's useless
Classic is way too easy, you don't even need to reforge stuff and can even beat it with the worst reforges

kinda hate that they made invunerability ignored by instant-kills. that's like...THE use case for it.

Can't you optimize the setup so that the slime does 2 damage and thus grant you the full immunity frames? With this being super optimized as it is. Couldn't you use a campfire, heart lantern, and sit in a chair while in honey to basically nullify the 2 damage stack with the added regen?

It's worth noting that, on higher difficulties, goblin statues, and the goblin scouts that spawn from them, are superior for invincibility machines.

I’m sorry, but wouldn’t that be qualified as an exploit? You’re clearly abusing the game’s mechanic in a way not intended by the devs, but still within the bounds of normal gameplay.

If this isn’t an exploit, could you please clarify the definition of an exploit? It’s surely not the same as a glitch, since they’re nearly always classified as different things.

A couple of people already mentioned this but, you can easily i-frame cheese the moon lord another way.

I've done it a few times even as a summoner. Moon lord's eye socket deals only 80 damage across all difficulties. You just need a minimum defense of 79+ to take only 1 damage from moon lord's eye socket. It's not that hard as long as you have a shield to resist knockbacks + cross necklace/star veil. Take out one eye from his hand and once you take it out, use a UFO mount or the Witch broom mount. Fly near the moon lord's eye socket and his hands will automatically track your character as long as you stay close and not fly too fast. Then simply tap (don't hold) the A or D key (depending on which moon lord hand you're on) while on the mount to stay inside the eye sockets to activate the iframes and you'll easily match the speed of the moon lord's hands that way.

UFO is slightly easier to do this trick due to the fact that your hitbox is a little larger than the witch mount. Although it's still not that hard even with the witch's broom.

And it's important to note that this trick works best in master mode due to how defense modifier works as your effective defense is 100%. It doesn't work as well on expert mode because the effective defense is only 75%. And much harder to pull off on normal mode with only 50% effective defense.

I've been clickbaited this is not invincibility in 100 seconds it is invincibility in 102 seconds 0/10 video I hate it.

Seriously though, this is a really cool ''exploit'' and was explained very concisely as well.

Good idea for early hardmode duke fishron... Reducing his damage to something survivable like damage from slimes helps.

I know the slime mount exploit doesn’t work for target dummies, but has anyone ever tried using statue-spawned enemies instead? I feel like a shark statue would be perfect, as they have high health, sit perfectly still when beached, and are extremely resistant to knockback. Plus, if necessary, they are wide enough to allow some block containment to be built that still allows the slime mount to bounce.
