Price point is great for amount of features. Thanks for doing the review Bo. Not my cup of tea based on what I saw and heard though.

How would you compare it to the Behringer 2600 ?

Many features you say are missing from semimodulars are present in the Beringer Neutron. Overdrive, multimode filter, two oscillators. This thing looks amazing though. And it's not Behringer. Lol.

Delay is crapola.

$200 delay reverb pedal, problem solved, I guess.

I don't see the name Moog, Oberheim or Sequential Circuits anywhere. Especially at $800. I'll pass.

how do the knobs feel? they were very gooey with loads of nice resistance on the SV-1, but I felt the Beast they released (and these look similar) was were a bit more flimsy feeling. what’s the verdict?

Huh.... this might explain why the Moog Mother 32 has suddenly been showing up in my feed as this looks like an upgraded version of it.

I wish it had a delay & / or a reverb.

Calling it now, this instrument is going to spawn a new genre of wild abstract acid tracks.

I've actually never heard anyone dis a BBD before, so fair play, I've always thought the same, I find there's usually one or two sweet spots and a lot of mush as you say. I usually send a BBD into a digital delay pedal for the long repeats. Nice review.

hello everyone, the structure is very similar to that of the Craftsynth 2.0, which however is wavetable and monophonic.
I really like this type of synthesis that adds and takes away...

Those coloured dials remind me of my old Jen SX-1000 many years ago.

I think these things are too complicated. You can create the same sounds with regular synths. Unless it's just chaos. Which it mostly is in moduler videos. Chaos. However. Some nice sounds here. The sounds is ok.

I prefer using filters instead to control things. This one sounds like a bit thinner moog.

I’m born and raised in Pittsburgh, and seeing something like this- that comes from where I live.. is kinda shocking to me—
I also didn’t have any high expectations either, cause it’s from Pittsburgh- but nonetheless and surprisingly, it sounds great..

I personally don't have a lot of use for it, but it seems like a lot of fun to fool around with. It sounds good, and the design is terrific.

Id rather buy two boutiques ..

That first patch was just fantastic. It sounded cool, but also a nice demo of sound design for this synth. The delay is not for me. Drop the delay and add a patch point for the resonance. It does seem like nice kit. I am waiting on my local shop to restock on east beast. Maybe they will get in one of these so I can play with it at the shop.

I think the delay is ment for sound desing. Fast delay times can have cool effects on the general sound.
But it wouldn´t hurt to give the delay a wider range.

Awful... It would have done better to stay in the taiga...

I find your take on the delay plausibele and well layed out. However i think the delay makes sense. Lots of people have multi delay pedals and delays in their daw. But this kinda characterful lo fi bbd is not as accesible and you kind it need it to be analog hardware to get to the places this one goes.

Strange video this. It comes across as BoBeats not being keen at all but yet he produces the best sounds I’ve heard on it. 😂 Noticed he has an offhand attitude in the East Beast and West Pest videos too.

Would I be able to use the modular element of this to route audio (my drum group) from an output on my Maschine mk3 into the filter and vca and then to my mixer. Or is that not possible? I think this might be a great tool for hands on manipulation and sound design in my live rig. Thanks, Rob

Just got a Taiga. Struggling with it out of the box. I followed the quick start guide but it still behaving hella weird! Really odd. I'm triggering from an Arturia Minialb 3. Can see the LED's on the ADSR's triggering when I pres a key. But, they're not behaving well at all. And everything else sounds pretty off as well. Very odd. Not sure if it's broken or am just doing something silly! Any tips?! May have to get onto Pittsburgh I think 😕

Stupid question but what’s the best way to run midi into this? I know the taiga comes with the little dongle converter but which port in the keystep is best to send midi out of? I have the keystep and taiga coming this week!

It's look amazing, I would love to hear some example if we match this synth on top of moog grandmother ( i get one) and see the match between filters types, lpg on ladder filter, mix of classiq moog sounds with wavefolding!!!! thanks for the video !!!

Looking at the product images (Thomann) I can't find any 'gate in' socket. (I don't use midi) Anyone?
