From the beginning Russia was wanting Ukraine to keep neutral. But Ukraine wanted to join NATO and applied and it was supported vocally. This is against Russian interests.
At this stage
Perhaps USA and Russia should meet and make an agreement in consultation with all concerned. Otherwise the sufferings in the region is for the innocent people for no fault of theirs.
This is a sad story how racial prejudices in 21 century are still haunting the minds of the people at the helm of affairs.

This article is quite pro-USA. The nato expansion is a very big part of the problem. NATO is an aggressive offensive organisation one hundred precent controlled by USA.
