There is no complete absence of women in “dreams from my father” . He talks about his mother in the book a lot. Also the book is about business father for the most part. I understand the interest in trying to piece together missing pieces about Obama, it’s juicy and, very interesting, but why would I trust that this journalist know more about Obama than Obama? All he can do it make connections, and construct a narrative that is interesting, that can get people to read his book, it makes sense and he is doing a good job. I can’t say he is lying, but I would trust him more than I would trust Obama himself, or I would trust the girlfriend. Nor would I completely trust their interpretations. Plus he lied about what’s is in Obama’s book. Obama, was into black extremism, and he talks about it in the book, in fact almost all black politicians and intellectuals (it might surprise white people) have thought about things like that. All this guy is doing is giving opinions about someone’s opinion and experiences knowing someone else for a small period of time. Oh, Obama thought about gay stuff but he never put it in his book, duh? Obama was into politics, and was careful about what he can let the public know about him, duh? Zero politician is different. Why would he tell you about all his girlfriends? Obama had and still had multiple professional researchers try to find dirt on, he has written multiple books, multiple speeches, been in the public, yet people still say he is a complete unknown, if you are one of these people, trust me, you will never be satisfied, the stories about dirt on Obama are way more interesting, especially if you are a conservative, I don’t blame you.
