People who are saying this game is not jaw dropping visually are just mad they can’t run it 🙊
ОтветитьWe've now gone to 720P on current gen consoles. You can't make this stuff up, Remember guys, they promised us 4K 60 as a standard! ROFL!
ОтветитьI am so happy that even though I have a 4K laptop, that because it's a laptop, if I set it to 1440P the human eye can usually not see the difference in pixels on a 17" screen from a couple feet away, so I can drop games like this to 1440P ultra/DLSS quality and have a good FPS rather than poor performance. I mean I have the 4090M, but the 4080 desktop used in this vid is slightly more powerful than that which means I'd be at probably 50 FPS playing this at 4K even with DLSS on. I am really surprised that already, new games are chewing through new GPUs. If I was on a big screen 28" Asus 4K monitor like I have my consoles on, I can really tell the difference and it would really bother me not being in 4K. I stopped buying AAA games on either current gen console after a year, as it's all gone back to 30 FPS if you want the game to actually look good on a big screen. And on the PC, I refuse to use anything other than the highest upscaling tech setting. I won't use performance or balanced as then I really CAN see the difference. I wonder if this would even be able to hit 30 FPS on something like the steam deck at 720P, FSR performance, and the lowest settings possible? I feel bad for those guys who would probably love to play this on it. It would look like a horrendous blurred mess, even on a 7" screen, but would probably be unplayable on top of it all. Sigh. All this said, I suppose medium would look ok also at a decent resolution on the laptop, so I could try 4K that way. I honestly thought when I spent 7 grand AUD on this MSI GT77, just 2 months back (13980HX/4090m/64GB), that I had some future proofing. Crazy, hey?
ОтветитьI have no interest in shooters and also would never buy or play this game other than for tech-testing purposes, but the technology used in this makes it super interesting, which is why I have been very excited for these videos. However, having watched already 2 of them, I struggle to see what exactly is achieved with this new technology. Sure, very high hardware requirements, but are the visuals really so good? If they are, I hope the future videos will explain it for my unexperienced eyes :D
ОтветитьSeems like an excellent example of how you need top rated game artists. Despite the advanced engine the game looks average and that's being generous. Horizon Zero Dawn running on the original PS4 absolutely beats it graphically hands down, simply as a result of using the tech available to its very best.
Yea, it's clearly not a AAA game, despite the statement in the video, and they could've achieved FAR better performance by using a less demanding engine, and it'd look identical. PS5 having to run sub-1080 is a joke.
I don't care how technically impressive and detailed your game is, if you need a 3080 Ti to run it at 1440p60 WITH DLSS?? That's just unacceptable. A small minority of gamers have PCs that powerful. Graphics dont mean shit if I cant hit a playable frame rate, especially if they dont look substantially different to PS4 titles. Diminishing returns.
"I want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and I'm not kidding"
Anyone have any idea what the target render pool size setting does?
ОтветитьWell this reslly looked like a truly demanding games for current gpus!!!
ОтветитьWhy is the lighting all real-time when the environments are mostly static?
ОтветитьJust because they can cram a bunch of expensive graphics technologies into their game doesn't mean the game looks better. You have to know how to use them properly, which EA clearly doesn't as I can't say this looks particularly great. It doesn't look horrible either, but nowhere near good enough to warrant such poor performance
Ответитьoh come off it
ОтветитьMost likely it's the last game that Ascendant Studios made.
ОтветитьThis engine needs a lot more work, or it will be same stutter fest as with UE4. Also, enabling effects without optimisation = Aveum "performance".
ОтветитьI think this game failed so hard......RIP
Ответитьconsoles win again
ОтветитьUnreal engine is a mistake.
ОтветитьSurely I'm not the only one who is consistently disappointed with modern games' visuals to performance ratio.
Ответитьthis game even dont look impressive
ОтветитьToo many people are getting hung up on the game not looking that impressive for the requirements. Although I agree with the sentiment I struggle to understand how this would be a smart decision even if the graphics were that impressive.
I mean, as the video suggests most people don’t own a 2080, and that is supposed to be the minimum requirement for the game. In other words they have quite a small demographic to market this AAA game to.
This seems to be a growing trend for AAA games, where the hardware required to play new AAA games is far to expensive for the average customer to have, and thus no people can actually play these games.
Ich hoffe NIEMAND kauft dieses Drecksspiel. Ich spiele Doom
ОтветитьThe more games come out this gen, the more you realize that devs still haven't understood that technology doesn't replace great art direction, this game doesn't look like it justifies the hardware requirements, the game looks generic and it's a complete disgrace that every single preset has upscaling turned on out of the gate, if there's one game that seems to be using DLSS as a crutch, this one is right at the top, performance is awful on almost all GPUs without frame gen, no game should run at less than 60FPS on a 4080 with DLSS on quality, regardless of resolution
ОтветитьExcellent breakdown. I basically wanted to get this before the mention of traversal stutter. Something EA still hasnt fixed for dead space remake..
ОтветитьCan anyone explain to me why anisotropic filtering is always limited in games? Like how "high", "medium" or "recommended" settings commonly lower it down to 8x or lower? It's extremely rare for it to affect performance at all and yet it always seems to be flagged by developers as an optimization. It's also so noticable when it's lowered, especially when playing close to a monitor as opposed to a tv.
ОтветитьUE5 is the worst thing to ever happen to this industry
Ответить2015 visuals that demand absolute high end hardware? Yeah I'm not gonna support that. Nothing here looks "next gen" and justifies the insane hardware requirements. All I can do is to express my disapproval by not buying the game.
ОтветитьEpic should release a game that is a showcase for UE5. Something like what they did Gears of War and UE3.
ОтветитьIf you don't game on a high-end PC, you can't afford to game at all.
Ответитьcall me a hater but all those Special FX makes the game look like a cheap mobile MMO
ОтветитьVery bad reviewers lately, i dont know who these guys are! This channel starts sounding like ign!
Ответитьcommon Physical Factory L
ОтветитьSerá este el fin de la 1070?
ОтветитьGOWR on the PS5 is honestly more visually impressive than this.
Ответитьwhat a cruddy game
Ответитьits classic blurry antialisaing of unreal engine 4/5 or something but overall image looks blurry
ОтветитьResolution scale 480p upscaled to whatever, yea it looks really good crisp texture no blurry visual, no exaggerated film grain, forced anti aliasing but why worry they have got a solution it's dlss with extra sharpness with shiny reflective objects rendered in real time. This is next level gaming folks.
ОтветитьPeople, put some AMD cards in it, you know, just for variety??
ОтветитьStalker 2 is a much better UE5 demonstration.
ОтветитьWhat is this / First person Forspoken?
ОтветитьGreat game im loving it!
ОтветитьHey, please always include performance benchmark section with upscaling turned off, while upscaling technology is impressive we shouldn't normalize it to the point where it become an excuse for every badly optimized game. Infact, you guys should always start game benchmarks without any form of upscaling, that is better way of judging games actual performance on different hardware.
ОтветитьPs5 performing like a pc twice as fast 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьI don't think that UE5 is the issue in itself. I think the engine has many great tech and features but at the same time is so easy to use that it makes devs lazy to optimize. Just slap a game together with stupid large performance heavy assets and call it a day. Make DLSS/FSR mandatory and pretend you can play at 1080p/1440p/4k while actually the game has to render at lower res because it's barely running at playable framerate anyways...
ОтветитьGame: insists you use supersampling
Also game: has bad FSR and terrible DLSS 3.0
hi,how abaut ryzen 5800x 3d nano with rtx 3060 ti in this game i get 60 fps in full hd?
ОтветитьThe only fix for stutter on Unreal Engine PC games is not using it in first place. I gave up any hope of this issue being ever fixed, guess all I can do is avoid games that use this garbage engine.
ОтветитьYeah I think I will probably play this around 2027 with a GPU that's 3 generation newer than my current one.
ОтветитьAlso I can't state this enough. If you need upscaling to hit the recommended settings on a recommended hardware, that's NOT "accurate" system requirement. We expect better quality of content from you Digital Foundry.
ОтветитьMore people watched this video than bought the game
ОтветитьI hate this lazy trend of requiring DLSS for reaching 60fps
Ответить
