How to DJ CDJ 2000 with Spotify (Algoriddim DJAY pro 2) // Review DJ software Mac

Do the DJM eq knobs correspond with the software? Or is it just acting as an analog mixer?

Can i use Algoriddim Djay pro 2 for a Pioneer DDJ-400 pult for using Spotify?

I use the iPhone Version and DDJ 400 at Home and on vacation. Fits in any suitecase.

What type of audio cable connects the Macbook to the Mixer?

Hi - I had a gig with this set up. Using DJAY Pro 2 on an Apple Mac and connecting to CDJ 2000 Nexus. The software connected perfectly but the sound would only come out of the Mac speakers.

I used 2 USB cables, but should I use a powered USB Hub to connect the decks and use a third USB cable into the mixer?

Hi Dexter, So I have this problem I run into. So my setup is: Djay Pro connected through macbookPro with two USBs to CDJs. I have the 2xCDJ-900Nexus and DJM900NXS2. Now everything works like a charm, BUT! After a while (sometimes immediately) when the track is paused, it starts moving really really slowly, as if you're turning the jog wheel really slowly. It becomes really problematic because its impossible to set cues since its moving. It seems like glitch I can't get rid of. Tried this on several CDJs (900s, 1000s, 2000s) - Same problem. Since the phenomena has occurred on several CDJs, I figure its a problem with either the way i've connected everything, or just Djay Pro itself. Have you heard of this? Do you have any idea where the problem is? - Thanks!

Yo man, dunno if you can help me but I’m an absolute novice DJ and I use the DJ pro software ( so I can use Spotify )along with my ddj 400 decks. I’ve recently booked a couple of hours in a studio with a CDJ-2000NXS2, what cable should I bring with me to book my mac up to it. Any help would be much appreciated

Can this work with 2 x CDJ 2000NXS2 + 1 x DJM 900NXS (v1) [ want the mixer to work as well like in this video. I.e. as long as the mixer has a USB and LAN link it’s fine yes? Like the 900, no need for NXS2 mixer correct]?

My CDJ-2000NXS2's work perfect with this software. Used it for about 2 weeks now without no issues. I know it says you can use it without having the USB's hooked up on both decks, but I plug them in anyways and I haven't had any issues. I haven't tried them without both USB decks unplugged. I do what works.

Dj-ing with Djay Pro since it came out. I always use 2 usb cables. The CDJ’s run into the DJM900 via the digital out (still cannot believe why people are still connecting the CDJ’s over analog since it does not support all the link functions when working with rekordbox). I had issues with CDJ2000nxs2, after an hour it looks like some kinda buffer or memory is running full and the whole software crashes (mac). When I use the CDJ2000’s this never happend. Nice to see it also must work with only one usb running into the DJM900, will give it a test.

Can you post a video showing the connections you made with the mixer and CDJs? USB from mixer to PC and CDJs to one another?

If Spotify and Djay could somehow have a professional offline subscription, they would absolutely destroy the competition. If I were Spotify I'd buy Djay and maybe Reloop and have a monopoly. Spotify and Tidal's biggest mistake was not buying Pulselocker, absolutely dropped the ball.

Thank you for the review Dexter. It seems like it’s a viable option but still needs kinks worked out. I will mess with it at home but would not use it out. Does the Spotify have to be on WiFi or can the Spotify playlist be saved? Does the software remember the queue points once you crate them?

Spotify should be on all DJ software PERIOD!!
