MANY of us living in Japan know Yakuza, and can certainly recognise them a mile off, but they are obviously the low-mid ranking guys. All of them are absolute c*nts. The higher level guys are businessmen, nothing else.

There are, Especially in organized crime, all levels of 'Bosses'. Being a boss doesn't mean he is Godfather, or 'Oyabun'. If he is the boss of 5 soldiers, he is still a boss. Why do people seem to think you need 'class' to be a crime boss. This guy acts VERY Typical for This Level of Yakuza. They are boisterous and braggarts. Thugs will brag about killing if they know (or think) they can't be prosecuted. He is also laughing and guessing '7'. He is taking the piss out of Peter like anyone else would. Criminals lie, and brag. The 'Gurentai' street level thugs are not the same as an elderly gangster who has earned his rank. Young gangsters ususally act completely ignorant compared to seasoned ones, and ruthlessness in crime 'usually' trumps class or intelligence. As another viewer pointed out, there aren't people in Japan w/ full-body, Traditional Irezumi, who go around assualting restaurant owners and saying they're Yakuza who Aren't Yakuza. He may just be the 'boss' of that crew in the restaurant in the earlier video, i.e., boss of a small group of Gurentai who go around intimidating business owners on say, 1 street.
