This would actually be very cool but, as with the mClassic later, the "enhanced contrast" crushes blacks a lot... Otherwise this would be great for older 480p consoles.

I found this old video only today. Is the algorithm they use publicly known by now? The low latency alone is jaw dropping for processing of any kind, let alone this good.

I'm watching this after watching the most recent AMD tech upgrade, and Linus, your presenting skills have significantly improved since this video. There's a level of monotone robotic shouty tone to your voice here. Now I'm half tempted to get the mclassic for my Switch, PS2, and PS3!

I have the 1st version 2015 it really work good sharpening the image u can tell the difference, i even used it on ps5 although no HDR but more realistic i think all model of mcable are the same.

om my viewsonic monitor watching this at 4K I am seeing not just AA effect, im seeing less color bleed, more clarity, more dynamic range, sharper better colors.

I don't think I've seen so many ill informed comments in one place before. Linus has given an honest review of a product that excels in 480p and 720p outputs which for a console user of past generations is amazing. As a gamer of older gens, I would recommend the mClassic that has a couple of extra features...peace

Fun fact, the oil from the right snake (its fat boiled out of it), a species in China (the people who brought it to the USA) works great to lower inflammation, it isn't fake, it works. But in the wild west, they used any snake, and the fat from those snakes didn't produce the same effect. You can call something Snake Oil, but if you call it Chinese Snake Oil, it's not a bad label.

I think it is time we do the mClassic HDMI dongle one. The next version of these cables. I want to buy it for my Switch but hesitate to wait for a review from Linus!

just got a lg cx tv and a xbox series x , im perfectly fine with the hdmi included as far as length,will i get a better picture using a higher grade cable ?

I was using with retrotink2x for almost 2 years, and suddenly the cable stopped to work. I tested the retrotink2x without the mCable, and discovered that the retrotink2x was doing all the job of smoothering the image, didn't noticed any difference without the mCable (with Snes and Genesis using S-video, Genesis with a scart to s-vídeo adapter). I'm not willing to replace the faulty mCable, since the advantages look almost imperceptible, and the price is outrageous.

total bullshit. for still imagery, maaaaaaaaybeeee. for scenes with the slightest movement at all, crap. why would i prefer more noticable and much more synthetic flickering around the aliasing edges while the raw aliased edges are at least accurate? hope you guys at least got paid for this good so you can continue on creating good content.
