How do I get it to use my microphone, because it doesn't do that automatically and I don't see any options to select my microphone.

Can you select playback? i might need a soundcard again for 0 delay, when using FL Studio, its annoying it has a delay on the playback. My old soundcard gave me 0 delay, and with 0 delay, it sounds way better, cause for me, it sounds like im interupting myself.

What is a good microphone for monophonic voice recordings to the PC?

Who knew recoding audio was so hard?!! My Adobe premier only records in 29 sec increments, tried the windows voice recorder but it won’t let me export the files and now I’m going to try audacity and hope that it isn’t expensive Bc these subscriptions for every little thing is killing me! Hey man, thanks for the recommendations. They were very helpful. After your video I used the standard windows voice recording program, simply because I needed something quick. She is relatively good. But unfortunately, at least for me, the volume of the produced recording is very low. But I also tried the one you also recommended Audacity and in fact her sound seems much cleaner and louder even at low PC volume settings. So thanks!

I have Xbox game bar and I clip stuff from there cuz it’s easy. But it saves in file explorer. When I play it back it sounds like I’m in a toilet bowl. Is it just cuz it’s from file explorer? I’m trying to find this out

What is the best Voice Recording (just VOICE just MIcrophone) program? I hate how its in m4v format with this Win 10 voice recorder. I have audition and pro tools but I just want to quickly open a program to record voice like how this Win10 program works simply. just looking for the optimal option I'm making a videogame. its sounds perfect with voice recorder but I have o convert it to mp3 in order to use it in audacity to edit and I even have to give it 2 channels which takes too much time does this voice recorder in Win10 have an option to make it 2 channels or maybe it happens when I convert it I'll check that and update.... does NOT seem to be my coversion program. So any suggestions?

The problem with the native app is that it records in some weird format. It's some kind of M4A file which can't be used if you want to add it to your videos as a voice over. I tried repeatedly and it just add the first 5 seconds of the recording to my video, I had to convert it to MP3 using an online converter in order to make it useable in my video. So pretty sucky if you ask me. Unless I'm missing something?

Is it possible to record a radio program which is available as a podcast (e.g. 50 minutes long), where I press the START RECORD button, but leave a timer to stop the recording? In the example above, I'd set it to STOP RECORDING at 51 minutes. Does such a facility exist in Audacity? Thanks
