I was a victim of bait-n-switch Kingston SSDNow V300 ... 120gb variant. I forgot exactly when I bought it, it was so long ago ... 5 years or more maybe. It was my first SSD and it is still running well in my old Haswell PC.

I dunno about you, I'm a normal pc user. I don't create content or push my SSD to anywhere near their potential. I'm surprised the Kingston is still serving me well after so long.

I bought my first SSD back in 2012. It was a OCZ 120GB, and cost about $100. I used it for installing an Operating system and playing some games. I remember it had a tendency to freeze everything for a few seconds and then continue running normally. Happened many times a day. A few crashes happened occasionally that required a re-boot. I think this tech has advanced enough that these things don't happen on SSDs anymore.

I gave new breath to my old laptop by changing HDD to SSD and adding 4 gigs of RAM. It was cheap Kingstone SSD for 240 gigs.

You talk too much. I had to stop the video as it was not clear when you actually would come to the point mentioned in the title. I guess I'll never know your conclusion. Good luck on your videos.

why does every single video about ssd's have to start off with a lesson on why they are faster than hdd's damnit lol Imagine if every car review you saw had a disclaimer on why cars are so much handier than riding a bike. lol

Do your research, Sandisk are not reliable. He should be alerting the viewers of this video of the reliability issue. Samsung is the best of the best. Do not get cheap vs quality.

the main difference between the two compared ssd's is the existence of (d-ram). The Samsung Evo ssd has D-ram, while the Sandisk ssd does not have it.
and yes.... d-ram makes huge diffetence in the writing speed which is clearly noticable in day to day use specially when using the ssd as the system drive.

Back in my day when I was 16 I used to have a hdd but I went to the store for milk and ended up going to a shoe store and while thinking about what size I was I got distracted and ended up at a restaurant looking at a menu thinking”There’s a store next door that might carry a ssd. Then it hit me! I had forgot why I left the house! I then proceeded to through my phone looking for any notes or clues. I ended up on some weird porn site with my hands down my pants and thought”Eureka!! I needed milk!!” I started to walk to the store and next thing you know I was next door with an ssd in my hands. I paced around for a few hours pondering the purchase when I went”Oh yeah milk!” I proceeded to walk to the store and when I was halfway there I turned around and said“I’m gonna buy that ssd!” I walked back to the store with the ssd and that’s when it hit me! A bus!!! 😵😵😵

There isn't any competition for the reliable HDDs. That's why NAS always involves HDDs and not SSDs.
Furthermore the price of 1TB SSD is equal to 8 TB of HDD and is a worthless VFM product.
My HDDs are more than 12 yrs old and they are as reliable as my pet dog.
These reviewers should realize this before promoting sponsored products.
