I guess it's because I haven't seen the whole film but I dont see Mark as egotistical or arrogant here. Not in the way some comments are saying. He seems to be autistic. At any rate, I dont like either of the characters. I also can't say I particularly love the scene. It doesn't feel like a masterpiece to me. But that's just personal preference.

This scene makes me wish I would have taken school more serious. Ahhh..roads not taken...

I love how loud the background noise is. Creates such a realistic setting and makes you have to really focus on the characters and what they are saying.

I feel like i can get smarter if i re watch and re watch the first few minutes of this video.

It’s hilarious that he’s so hurt by being called an asshole, and then sad music plays and you think maybe he’ll try to change and be different or something and then he first thing he does is go back home and write “Erica Albright is a bitch”

Everything about this scene is fantastic, but that editing…. Brilliant. The pacing, the choice of when to use the close ups and the two-shot… wonderful.

The sound design is perfect. I can tell it's a loud environment, it has music and loud speech, but I can still hear every word, which is great because there's a lot of them.

You can thank Aaron Sorkin for the genius writing and dialogue in this film. One of the best around.
