I'm watching this in 2020, so I'm actually really impressed.

So big display companies spent their time making unnecessary ultra high resolution displays with curves and some silly things and left such revolutionary simple concepts. It was black and white TVs, then coloured, now this should have been the third generation of TVs showing true 3D images not super HD with fake 3D illusions...

We are going to need some really big fiber optic cables.

This is the most viable Volumetric display I've seen so far.This needs more funding!

actually I did create something better. This response tends to the question you deleted just now. You may browse my face-book profile via my latest you-tube video upload. I have publicized a volumetric hologram schematic, that utilizes quantum mechanics as a major proponent of a 1064 nano meter laser oscillation mechanism. This is modeled from burton inc's aerial 3d hologram, earth's only true volumetric hologram generator.

indeed it is. It there is any form of plane, or obstacle involved in the final image generated, then I can't phase my hand through it. How nescient you are. note: Also, shall it employ the use of interference patterns, it is not a true volumetric mid-air hologram.

hologram = 3D Can phase hand through it, this is not a condition to be a hologram.

It could be related in some point or it would be not crazy to relate autostereoscopy with persistence of vision?
