They are really great pets and they are very family oriented!!! Yes, they are protective of their humans, but if they respect and love you, you could not ask for a better furbaby to be your pet!!! ❤

My German shepherd is super smart and I trust him totally. He’s easy to train and is protective but not aggressive. I would definitely get another one.

As a pet sitter I regularly cared for 3 Rottweilers that went through the protection training. However, out of work they were just big teddy bears and all slept in the bed with me. I miss them. The only dog that ever bit me was a Doberman.

I have a Staffordshire bull terrier. He's 6 at the end of the month. He's never shown any aggression to a person or any dog even after being attacked by the dog. It's all how you train and socialise you dog. One thing I found interesting was that the most dog bites in England (in 2018 and 2019, I didn't look after) were by labradors

Early socialization plays a crucial role. Interestingly, my trainer once shared that the only breed to ever bite her was a chihuahua.
