Transcribe audio file using Google Docs for free! It really works (only for windows).

Do you want to transcribe an spoken audio clip or a YouTube video? You can use Google Docs to do this and you don't need to type a word. And it's completely free!

It's not as accurate as the paid for audio transcribers (such as Transcribe) or if yourself or someone else was typing manually. You WILL have to edit it and add punctuation. But overall, it's pretty good and will save you heaps of time!

To transcribe a YouTube video, just play the video instead of the audio file.

I am so not technical but my friend and I thought we would share this little trick. We both need to use our phones to dictate stuff for work and then type it out afterwards. I just transferred my voice note onto my laptop and voila!

Mam stereo mix is on but when I click to recording , they want permission about mic .Not recording..

Thank you so much!! I had mucking around with this on Google docs and could not get it to pick up the audio. Your technique to change to stereo mix worked great.

Its not typing when i on audio and docs speaker what should i do . it's not catching the words which are coming from lap. But if i say somethings then works.
