I'm gonna die!!! I can't with phonology 😢
Ответитьbut... how could someone speak without moving their mouth, like those comedians on a stage.
ОтветитьAmazing video! Wish my phonetics teacher would've used it in class to explain things
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьNice representation of IPA was created. Made by A bunch of old white dudes
ОтветитьI'm going through the crash course best hits, and I never realized that it was boiled down to a science
ОтветитьThis is amazing 😻 thanks 🙏
ОтветитьNo course is ever complete until something is described as a "meat clarinet"
ОтветитьThank you so much for explaining all these difficult-to-grasp concept in such a easy-to-understand manner. Great help to a person currently taking on a linguistic course like me :3
ОтветитьYou are awesome!!
ОтветитьThe animation is so useful (and funny). It's way harder to pay attention when it's just text.
Ответитьthe anatomic illustrations are very helpful! Good job I hope I don't fail my linguistics exam
ОтветитьI love how cartoon John Green appeared when you talked about the "pizza ridge". At least I guess it was an easter egg ...
ОтветитьThank you very much. You made life easier and I love the " user friendly" language that you use to explain complicated terms and concepts
Ответить"Hanger" doesn't have [ŋ]?
ОтветитьWowowoow this is a great course for you to be making.
Ответитьokay, did I skip a video or two?....where did my boy go?
ОтветитьHey I know it’s a super boring topic but can you please do a crash course on Medicare and the healthcare system in America? I think there is so much information to sort through that’s so important for the American people to know, I wanted to make a slideshow for it but there’s no I way I could make it as interesting as the way you present your interpretation of the subjects you teach about.
ОтветитьFYI the subtitles say "uvula" instead of "velum."
ОтветитьThis topic can be a complete course of its own. What an adventure it would be!!
ОтветитьPhonetics? More like FUNetics!
Ответитьwhen I was 14 and studying for a spelling bee, I learned the IPA for English so that I could learn how words are pronounced and try to guess the spelling. I got second place.
ОтветитьAre there any languages with consonants that combine points of articulation, like a fricative in the back of the mouth and then a plosive near the front? I'm having trouble making a sound like that, but it seems like it should be possible
Ответитьthank you, this was an extremely interesting video!! and also thank you for bringing a bit of the South African languages in! keep up the excellent work!!!
ОтветитьCan you PLEASE stop pronouncing those consonants with a schwa after them?! You are saying them wrong!
Ответитьyou only did p, b, t, d, k, g, m, n, ŋ, f, v, s, z, x, and ɣ. What about ʙ, c, d, ð, ɳ, ɲ, p, r, ɹ, ɸ ʁ, ʃ, ʀ, ɰ, ɱ, ɴ and the others?
ОтветитьAhhh okay gooods ahhh
ОтветитьYour videos are incredible! Could you also make a video about language acquisition, please? It would be great. Thank you 💕
ОтветитьOh, so your a crash course fan? Name every video.
ОтветитьDid I know I needed this? No. Was it interesting as hell? Why yes it is
ОтветитьBeing a student of MA Linguistics .... I love your videos ... Really really helpful ... Especially I Love PHONETICS ..... and you explained it wonderfully. Eagerly waiting for the next part !!
ОтветитьFinally 👏 gracias!! I'm actually taking this class right now, thank you again crash course 💓
ОтветитьEuskarak [ɣ] soinua duela? Iparraldeko euskalkietan agian? Gipuzkerazko "j" hori [x]-agoa dela esango nuke ba.
(IPA-ko orrian [ɣ] eta [x] entzun ditut eta bai, esango nuke lapurteraz/baxenafarreraz egiten den "r" hori [ɣ]-agoa dela [x] baino. Hala ere, nik uste frantsesez baino [x]-agoa dela, ez dakit... eta gipuzkeraz, nire ustez, [x].)
As others have noted, furrowed eyebrows in ASL make a content question, not a yes or no question.
ОтветитьHot dog! I'm in this video!
ОтветитьI am confused about why hanger is claimed to not have a velar nasal in it. In my phonetics class, I would mark it wrong if someone transcribed hanger (as in related to hangry) as [hænɡɚ] instead of [hæŋɡɚ]. If it's hanger as in the tool used to hang clothes, it would need to be [hæŋɚ].
ОтветитьWhy not doing crash course geometry and crash course programming
Otherwise great job crash course with all the playlists you ve done keep going
What would it take to get IPA subtitles for these videos? I'd love a chance to see it in use while i'm hearing the language.
Ответить@CrashCourse, is this currently (1st Nov 2020) the latest one? Many thanks for these videos. I am thoroughly enjoying them.
ОтветитьI really wish this was introduced in early education. It was make certain other subjects so much more doable.
Ответитьhere in UK if you work in Early Years, teaching children phonics, you have to be careful not to pronounce the schwa after p, k, t etc...
ОтветитьMan, talking - and just the idea of being able to do it without even really thinking about it - is remarkable when you really think of it. And this video really helps to illustrate that for me. Excellent work.
ОтветитьDo ‘had a” and “had” pronounce the same?
ОтветитьThis channel is a real help!!! Thankyou so much ❤️
ОтветитьAll I can think of is meat clarinet! ...also good name for a metal band that utilises woodwind :)
ОтветитьI am so jealous of and happy for new linguistics students that have these great resources
ОтветитьDo you have a video about laminal sounds??
ОтветитьThis brought me back to my linguistics courses, thank you!! 💜
ОтветитьPara los que saben español, el canal de Superholly tiene un nuevo video de esta tema!
Ответить
