Did Bond franchise improve over time?
That's something that's debatable as many are of the this & that opinion.
Compared to these other franchises? No. It's not been as profitable.
The franchise I believe has been struggling.
Personally, I think it jumped the shark w/ Roger Moore's outlandish tomfoolery.
Did James Bond Time To Die do well at the box office? The 'C' strongly affected it.

Movies are evolving into a bleeding merge of streaming online. In fact, more are going straight to Hulu, Netflix, Prime & HBOMax.
Theaters were dwindling before the C'. There weren't as many multi-complexes & now there's limited number of actual theaters.
It's rare what happened to Encanto as it didn't fare well in theaters. Streaming it was an astounding success.

This last movie signals a reboot. Another reboot shedding off old characters & start with fresh set of characters. I believe its w/ same blind mistakes made it not as popular. No, this isn't being 'woke' doing. As for this Bond's death so be it, but why do this so pronounced? Did they do this w/ the other Bonds? No. Their chances were 'rebooted' between films w/o any notice or mention. Maybe there was a slight wink inside joke here & there. This death was an over the top reminiscent of Roger Moore's character. Interesting both Roger Moore & Sean Connery passed before this movie was made or interim. Wouldn't it have been a nice gesture to remember them? Nope do a 'reboot' ignoring them.

I grew up watching ALL the Bond movies. There's a lot of 'isms' elitism, racism, ageism & sexism.
Remember the Bond movie he's surgically made to look Asian? (Whitewashing at its best). Stems from producers, writers, directors coming from 'similar' backgrounds not aware of blindness or tone. It's not only this franchise, Star trek, Star Wars, Avengers and James Bond. Anyone remember Jar Jar Binks? (Irony George Lucas is married to a black woman & never saw the racist elements.)

Perspective helps in catching 'isms' as many are unbelievably blinded & don't/won't recognize. I being a female immediately watching the women on the screen can see an irritant that a younger woman is the love interest of Bond. People can date & marry of different ages. It's the issue it's common & accepted only younger women can date & marry the action lead. Kids in movies are either the brat or the kids wiser than their years. In this case, a 4year-old acts as if drugged? Doesn't squirm, get fussy or cry? How many kids easily go into the arms of a stranger? Not many. Who knows kids? Obviously not the director. Yeah, realism at its best.

Blacks were far & in between in the early movies. Women? Bond girls beautiful, given sexist names, slept w/ Bond & weren't in movie for duration & if the love interest majority gone by next movie w/ exception Miss Moneypenny.

As stated, it's not that great of a movie in my opinion. It got too long to keep interest on the story.
Stupid plot w/ weak hide & seek villain, actions scenes varied had weird plot holes. Exactly what was the villain's plan?

Is it me, or did it sound a lot what many conspiracist's think about 'C' it was targeting certain people?
Kill everyone or select people isn't that eugenics?? !
Is this what this plot was about? At one point the scientist mentions to 007 (a black woman) how he can select out her race including Africa?
How come no one sees this negative racist/sexist plot shouldn't do? This is proof of the perspective blindness not realizing what the plot is.

Kill this group, that nation, race, culture, creed & whatever? Makes no sense how the villain derives this thought process from the initial incident his family was killed by an evil Spectre hitman to all must die. No one realizes M had this brilliant eugenics idea? It doesn't dawn on M was acting in a similar manner as Hitler's eugenics agenda? It went over people's heads? Ok moving on...

A few words about diversity of this movie, had 3 blacks (1 killed), 1 Cuban/Spanish pretending to be American (We have a lot of Latinx/Cuban actresses) & 0 Asians. Really being inclusive, not really. Wondering about the Bond 'reboot' years from now. Curious if first movie be Casino Royale. (How many times will they reboot that one?)

Note Black Panter & Crazy Rich Asians surprised many critics assumed wouldn't garner a large audience ('white' people included) not having a white lead. Reason mentioned Black Panther is because it's supposed to be a hybrid of James Bond (traveling to different cities & adventures) & The Godfather (family dynamics added w/ an illegal son outsider). That's not 'my' words but the director. Oh, there's also a strong influence of women @ various ages & roles (mother, sister, friend/love interest & loyal protector).

I'm truly amazed at the number didn't see the eugenics plot? Unbelievable.

What kind of ageism is that? Why not see how the original author died Ian Flemming of a heart attack at 56. Why not show good guys can die of cancer, dementia, stroke or heart attacks? It's natural causes possibly from a hard life of booze/cigarettes or exposure to toxic chemicals. Everyone doesn't have to die from evil attacks etc.

It's disturbing how age is portrayed.
Why not have Bond realize doesn't have the sharpness to do the job anymore. Why not show when police & agents come to terms with retiring & leaving the job behind. Maybe they're burned-out or unable to put forth the effort needed. It happens in all walks of life/industries (military, medical, aviation, engineering, teaching etc.). Couldn't this particular Bond have walked off into the horizon? Had a child might not live until it's adulthood. Why not have left him alone after this?

Killing off all the original Bond characters that Fleming wrote? Why?
There was a reason Fleming's books & characters came to life. They were a part of him & others he knew in his life from his past work. Now? No one's from that life, only making up characters they have no affiliation with.

Not only lost any identity to the original, lost likability also. This last movie was so dour, slow & flat. Humor failed & tanked. The concept was the stupidest & thinnest reason yet had advanced technology using nano techs BORING!

No connection or interest to worry about anyone of them. One can leave people jaded if spend majority of movie on limitless gun fights & similar car chases. It becomes a video game! Pathetic these people (producers, director & writers) don't realize they've bored the audience many are skipping through this? Using a small child to threaten? Okay hit a nerve let's get over next!

Is Bond relevant in this 'woke' world?
Maybe not, but supposedly we are more open & transparent? Nope! If dealing w/ humans, Bond's still relevant. Smarter? More computer tech savvy? Perhaps.

How 'woke' if we treat 'older' people like baggage & unnecessary get killed off unceremoniously? BTW Gates, Bezos, Buffet, Arnault, Musk, Bloomberg, Waltons are they 'young' or over the 30 mark & considered 'old'? What about these producers here? They definitely wouldn't see screen time if actors in their own movies!

A woman playing Bond?
Interesting, the thought about having a woman as Bond is laughable. Seriously, this Bond played by Craig has been the longest rather starred in most movies. Here he's married to a woman a lot younger not comparable to him in age. Minute hits 30 mark, will be dropped. Or, if already is, will be hard to stay in role as ages. Remember what's evident in these movies about older women? There're not seen & if gone in a matter of minutes. Ageism at it's best! They're aren't seen & if are, gone quickly. Female Bond dropped in blink of an eye, wouldn't last another movie or so.

A minority Bond such as Indian, Asian or African? Really, UK is as racist as the rest of the world. Especially after experience w/ a demic. That Bond would be in only 'a' movie. Brits don't have Black R&B singers because taken over by cultural appropriation rather see White singers. How's that going to happen with a Black Female Bond?

Will find a way to get rid of that Bond & bring back the White male. Problem? It's no longer the Bond of the author, but a make-believe one w/ new supporting characters. Results so far, killing the franchise with stupid ideas how to repair & revitalize it killing old people. Was a boring, dull & overplayed trope of a movies.

I can't believe the ending. I grew up all my life knowing James Bond, waiting every 3-4 years a new James Bond movie to come out. Waiting to hear 007 says my name is Bond, James Bond and now they took away from us. As much as this character belonged bro his creator it also belonged to us. So what we got now, a 007 movie? A Black Lesbian? Does anyone can think that any of is the James Bond fans will pay money to watch 007 movie who played by a Black Lesbian? Seriously?
