Hi sir...my steam iron when turned on, is tripping main breaker box RCCB. So i opened the iron box and checked everything. Coil, themostat, thermal fuse all are showing continuity. Only thing i have doubt is that the coil is showing about 60megaohm resistance to ground and it keeps changing( increasing as i keep the multimeter connected)....is this ok? What should the resistance of the heating coil to ground ideally? The coil is sealed with a steel plate because it is a steam iron.....i doubt whether there is some scale buildup inside the steel plate which is causing a short to ground....is this correct....so cam i repair it or buy a new one

so I opened the back of the iron to fix the blub cover thingy and I thought it was a great idea to test if the bulb was working whilst the back was OPEN
spoiler alert ⚠️ it went bam boom 💥 and now my room is full of awful smoke

hello sir.. please guide me. I have Panasonic steam iron which was out of order so I gave it to the repair shop. he fixed the iron but unfortunately steam is not working. the repair shop worker said once the steam iron is open steam function will never work again.. is it true? it means I need to get a new one? because without steam this iron seems useless to me... or it can be mended
