If You Changed your Steam Region DO NOT Buy Games [05/27]

Please dont make any game (and in-game) purchases if you changed your steam region. It can return your account region back to your country. Wait updates...

About 4 years ago ive created steam account in Ukraine (originally from there) and haven't bought any game. Now i moved to United Kingdom and bought a laptop here, if i buy a game with Ukrainian credit card from Britain, on british laptop, does it gonna keep Ukrainian low prices?

as a person who is turkish i feel its over the gaming industry for us especially steam cause dollars are already expensive now they expect us to pay thousands no thank you i'd rather play cracked and get banned then pay that sum amount of money that i barely go with everyday

So i changed my region to turkey and after 2 weeks i traded some skins on skinsmonkey and my region changed back to my original. is this a problem or just steam somehow find out that i changed my region

what happens if you buy a game and after it returns to your account region, you dont get the game?

I have been doing this for months and I had no problem I used turkey account But this time that i tried to buy a game it failed. The reason it failed is because my region changed to the country that i live without making any purchace by my country is there any way to turn back my account to turkey without getting banned i have alot of games already.

notice purchases made in turkey can only be added to your library if you are in turkey. I'm getting red notice that like whenever i try to gift my friend a game. I'm from Pakistan and my friend is also. But we've created steam account with vpn and in my account there is 200TL wallet

1. when steam detects that you are in a steam region your are not supposed to be they ill just ban your acc and you have to write the support and ask them if they can undo everything
(they do that like always you dont even have to explaine why you did it)

2. every game buyed from the region you got banned can you always refund as example i had ready or not on a turkey account with 31h playtime and after the acc got banned i just refunded it and it got accepted.

3. you will not just be banned as long as you use the right currency, no one cares about VPN
buy giftcards in the currency you want and you are safe,

how do i know ? i created and bought month´s to years old TL and ARG acc´s and tested everythithing....
and there was no update in the way how they recognise or stop people from doing it... idk what this vid is about

So i am new to this Vpn switching regions i have switched my account to argentina, Everything is Still in argentinian pesos i even tried to switch back to where i currently live and they told me i have to wait 3 months but i can still do all my transaction with ARS and without a vpn!

well i can say from today in the last 30 days, i start going on crazy purchases spray in argentina and im still going as i want to have like 2k+ games and level 100+ on my account by fall or winter sale, as in last 30 days i did buy 800+ games, make like 1500+ market transaction and 50 trades and so far everything is oki and didn't change back as im still 1.1k games from my goal and im buying card sets and waiting for fall sale to craft them im going to pass the 3-5k market transactions also and all is good.

Ah shit! I was on Argentina region for 4 years and was about to checkout the Judgement collection which would be roughly 27 euros. When I pressed "Purchased for myself" it started loading, threw out an error and I saw my steam wallet balance change currency back to euro. When I relogged into steam, the price was back to euros and now it costs 70 :(
I think what led to this is that a few days ago I sold a steam trading card and for the first time ever, once it got sold, the balance didn't immediately increased but showed that the money from the trading card is pending which probably is when Steam manually reviews the transaction and checks whether your steam region corresponds to the one you have been mostly playing on.

yea i got completed blacklisted from turkey. i tried to go argentina instead which worked but as soon as the game went through [was discounted] i went back to my original region. ill try one last time after my cooldown is up next month

if you want to easily change your country region in steam, what i did way back in 2007 is i ask kindly to gabe newell i message steam support, i ask please gabe newell father and saviour of the pc master race, please change my country region so i can buy cheap games, and he did it for free, he even gave me a free tf2 golden frying pan

To me it just got worse, than return back to my region and currency. I used a Revolut virtual card (actually three of them). I tried first to top up my steam wallet in turkish lira, then to buy a cheap game. It never worked. 7 days later I logged in, to try again with Wise virtual card. And I got a little "surprise". An error messege from steam, telling me my account was restriceted due to fraudulent activity lol I reached out steam support, they said that for this time only, they have unlocked my account. The account is now set on my region/currency. They also warned me, that if I will try to do this again, every account I have will be disabled. Ehm... I f*cked up, big time 😅 I guess they catched me up, cause virtual card are linked to the country you live in, So trying to put a whatever adress in turkey, with card data from another country, It may lead you to a ban. Funny thing, I knew this. For years, I've brought games, paying with steam wallet card (I buy them from Eneba). Recently these card are be sold at high price, so I tried the metod: virtual card -> convert in turkish lira -> try to buy on steam. I should have known, that having turkish lira on my card, didn't change the fact, steam can see I don't live in Turkey/have a bank account there. One last thing: For those wandering about Wise compatibility on steam... It works. But of course, only in the region you have the account/valid id.
