Never lead before. I’m confident I can do it though.

jesus when he clipped the rope to his gear loop my heart fell out of my chest, your gear loops are not rated!

Nah man, only lower of fixed gear in extreme situations where there isn't any other option. Running rope through fixed gear will wear your rope more AND wear the gear for everyone else. Always try to rappel if possible.

Can we add "Put on your helmet when you leave your car and leave it on your head!"
Cliff routes in England often have paths at the top. Other climbers can knock stones off the cliff onto the climbers below even during the approach.

In my opinion, the best way to go sport climbing is to go with someone who already know how to... Because their is much more things to take in account! But, you also have to understands the basic, but get your own opinion, and methods for the rope techniques, like clearing an anchor. In fact, their is a lot of way to do them, but they all have pros and cons to take in account when you have to choose one of them. And the only way to have this knowledge is to go climbing with a lot of experienced people, and ask them about their techniques. Then, make your own opinion, and, enjoy!!!
Have a nice climb 😉

You forgot the most important points, don’t play your shit music at the crag and ruin everyone else’s day and also take your litter home anddddddd don’t top rope of fixed anchors, use your own draws. 👍

as he said, it really depends on the route you´re working on, and depending on the fixed gear that is already in place, you may want to get the rope through the anchor links, do a figure 8 and use a locking carabiner to tie it to your belay loop before untying the original figure 8, to always keep yourself both on belay and with the personal anchor system of your choice in place. If, however, the rope is too thick to do that, there´s no other option other than doing this. great video :)

I will be taking my 5 french bulldogs (Thomas, Sir Alfred, AOC, Black Andrew, and Sillary Clinton) rock climbing TOMORROW. What kind of top rope anchor is best for a french bulldog?! AMGA refuses to answer my question!!

When to clip is much more situational than sugested in this video. They say climb to the bolt then clip. However, if you can reach the bolt from a secure stance and easily make the clip when it is overhead, this can be a much better option then trying to make the clip a move or two later if you are in the middle of the crux. Bottom line, the important thing is to know that cliping overhead puts you at risk for a longer fall but that is only one part of the puzzel when deciding when is the best time to make the clip.

This shit is too complicated. I’d rather just Boulder indoors.

When cleaning, it’s worth clipping your overhand on a bight to your gear loop as a backup to your tether. At least that makes sense to me

In the last video I made a comment that Ezzy should lay off the kibble... given how much of a ride Anna was taking on those falls maybe I need to lay off the Mac n' Cheese.
