This should have been out from the start, no save is dumb (and you can cheese it) but the harder game rules are mostly just improvements.

Some of those changes feel like artificial difficulties like infinite respawning micros that feed their hp to the boss or dror being more of a threat than he really should be like removing my ability to yeet people into the spider pit because someone with zero ties to loth can make spiders serve him like thanks for slapping me in the face for daring to be creative

Reason I am not playing Honor mode is because we have regular blackouts because of russian daily bombings and having one save is asking for it to get corrupted (I back up my saves regularly). New mode will let me pick all difficulty options but have multiple saves or just one?

this is also a good way for players who don't have their golden dice yet to test the waters of what it's like to play in HM before they take the plunge

Or just play honor mode? Its meant to feel risky and force you to stick to choices, its incredibly fun, like why water down an incredible mechanic because you're scared of starting a new character on a game with infinite replay value??

I TRIED to do this, was disappointed I couldn't so I went into the honor mode expecting to get wiped. I ended up finishing the run first try but man I would like to have saves. Laazel got murdered by Voss out of the party so she was permanently dead. Then I accidently hit the wrong button and sent Wyll to eternal damnation AND got Jaheira killed on the assault of moonrise. Also was bonus action away from losing Astarion to the rite of profane ascension

Anyone know that sword and class setup that does all those crits?

Never had played a game like this before a friend gifted it to me the day I bought a series X. My fourth completion of the game was an honour mode run with him when less than 500 people had done it.

I really like honor mode because your thinking of playing changing drastically and litereally feel the; “why I should risk my life for some bastards or kids?” Things! I litereally thinking twice when I want to fight!

I think it's just handier so you can have the difficulty but not having it single save, which can be a pain for single saves

I played BG3 in pre release a lot so Honor Mode was a cakewalk. I used every trick in the book but a win is a win.

You could always do this by setting it to honour mode then dying and choosing to carry on. I like that they gave the option to just start like that though
