How did you do to solve the wifi problem?

Watching this on MacBook Pro 2012 running Ubuntu 22. WiFi works only after running update and upgrade. Sound quality is poor. Bluetooth works but listening on my Sony WH-1000XM sucks due to 'noise' and sync issues.

Can I do it in a Mac M1 lock for iCloud?

I have a 2017 macbook pro if you hooked up external speakers using headphone jack did sound work? Were you able to stream music/media via Bluetooth?? Can you make a video showing how to install ubuntu and get most of it up and running?

Nearly all old Macbooks can run Windows with Bootcamp. I would prefer Windows 10 instead of Linux, because everything works and is a lot easier to install and use.

Definitely worth installing linux on old macbooks, but i think linux mint xfce would be a better fit, it uses much less system resources so battery drain wont be an issue.
It works great in my old asus vivobook

Linux on Macbook Air 2017 INTEL Works great, no camera also, but I don't use that on laptops when I can just call people on my cell phone.

Definitely worth doing. I had to upgrade an old MacBook Pro that was long in the tooth. Mint Linux brought it back and useable for a few more years. Definitely worth doing.

Have you tried Linux Mint? There are several versions of it including a Debian based version.

Even with a new Mac, Linux will give you advantages over macOS.

How does hybernation and wake from lid open works? I installed linux some time ago, but user experience is rubish on Linux comparing to Mac OS.

Okay I’m a tech professional and generally pretty good at all the things I take on to do and learn, love it all, and I’m now really into getting kubuntu onto the MacBook Pro Apple sent me refurbished and guaranteed, but infected with massive malware. No replacement no refund. Been through it all. So I bought an even more powerful refurb from OWC this time, and I avoided most hells that the poisonous one spreads around. I have been hacking away at it while being vilified for being a horrible crazy nut who is trying to get something out of it. I can’t handle that because I have a long history and I’m a professional known for being tenacious and undaunted. Okay so now I’m responsible for the deaths of about ten devices or so before I even had an inkling of the depth of the damage and trouble. I’ll leave it at that. Now I have to sell it, I can’t afford to absorb Apple s unprofessionalism and swallow ten grand Canadian. So I have it to the point where if you don’t know what it is you won’t be damaged by it… unless you are a mad tech like me and you notice that it is a little crazy.
