Holy cow, that was fast paced, but comprehensive and didn't skip over the important parts, I now have an intact Lego, which is more than I've managed from other tutorials. Thanks very much, look forward to continuing with the rest of the series :)
ОтветитьYou are a VERY good instructor Kevin
It's been 2-1/2 years since I've been in Fusion 360...
You see, I was getting into Fusion 360 and I was moving right along - although somewhat sloppy because I wasn't setting up files the right way...
I just busted right into designing without even using proper constraints sometimes...
Unfortunately I had severe retina problems in both eyes that required a series of surgeries and procedures to get my Eyesite back - it took almost 2 - 1/2 years...
I'm back now and I decided to go back to the basics first - which you teach VERY well...
As a retired Mechanical Designer I can see say that you make everything straight forward...
I'll do things the right way now - the METHODICAL way this time...
I design the interiors for Class B RV's...
Thanks again Kevin...
Pete
PS- I am trying to get a STP file or BREF of the Mercedes 2500 - 144 wheel base - High roof to make it easier for me to design...
Do you know of any way of obtaining these drawings?
I don't mind paying for them as it would make my design work a lot easier...
Thanks! I'm coming from Maya and these are great for getting me up to speed in Fusion 360.
ОтветитьMany thanks!!!!! I feel I learned so much in just the first lesson.
ОтветитьWhen I put 1.49 for the shell my inside cylinders disappear
Any help?
there may be a reason why the section on rectangular patterns is the most replayed section of the video. It doesn't match what my UI shows in Fusion360. I have sort of figured it out…maybe. [Fusion 360 2.0.17244 arm64 [Native]]
Edit : I did work it out and now something like a Lego™ block is is being made across the room…
Stuck. Got as far as 11 minutes but I don't have the 'Centre Diameter Circle' button on the tool bar.
Any idea why not and how I can add it?
when I starat using fusion 360 I bought Udemy course and start doing thing on my own, but this is course is much better. Knowing the tool is one thing but the way you show the workflow of solving this design problem is just brilliant.
Thank you
Hold SHIFT + middle-click to revolve btw
Ответитьthx. flied thru it and watched whole vid 1st. then i decided to do it step by step. easly 2 hours work (mind you, its my 1st time playing with fusion 360) . great tutorial . step by step and lots of back and forth the vid. thx . looking forward for the rest
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHow do you know the measurements is there a grid that helps you scale it?
ОтветитьSo good, it makes me want to sit through the ads so you get your cut.
ОтветитьCan't select the inside bottom plane. For some reason, it selects the four bottom "rail" planes and an invisible plane between them. Backtracked and did the shell again and it worked out. hmm...
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьGreat video! One thing I didn't understand though, why did the 8 bumps on top show hollow from underneath after you shelled it out? Why aren't they solid?
ОтветитьDay 1 complete xD
ОтветитьAfter I extruded the rectangle I got an "Extrude" under the "Sketches" drop down in the menu on the left. Yours doesn't show that, did I do something wrong or not finish the extrude or something? It also wont let me select anything with the rectangular pattern. I set the dropdown to features but nothing in my drawing is selectable. After messing around it will let me select the extruded circle if I set the dropdown to Bodies rather than Features. Is that a new thing since this video was made or something?
ОтветитьI couldn't get past lesson Day1. You accidentally press the wrong key and it activates a whole new command. The sketch turns a different color, prompts "select item to be deleted". I really want to learn this program.
ОтветитьSubbed cuz I need to learn Fusion360 for my 3D printer . Sketchup does not cut it anymore :)
ОтветитьAny idea why sketch dimension would just be missing? Both the triangle to the right of the spline tool and the sketch dimension icons are missing when I go through this video.
ОтветитьI teach an engineering class. Thank you so much for these videos, they are an absolute gem for teachers!
ОтветитьI did it.very quick lesson, I had to go back, stop and repeat but I did everything the same way. A very good but fast teacher. Thank you
ОтветитьYou said 2x8 block and this is actually a 2x4 block, and in the description is says day #2, but this is actually day #1.
Ответитьa few things have changed but I was able to get this made perfectly
ОтветитьVery professionally taught
ОтветитьGreat lesson! (I subscribed) It needs a "Day 0.5" lesson before it though: I found myself messing up and drawing a circle, but clicking somewhere else BEFORE putting in the dimensions. I don't know how to delete the circle, or modify the diameter. I ended up just rewinding on the timeline and doing things again.
Ответитьthank yoi
Ответитьgreat job
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьHow to download the software? Thanks
ОтветитьAmazingly helpful videos.
ОтветитьFor anyone who's rectangle didn't get a top face:
Use the Extrude command from the "Solid" menu not the "Surface" Menu.
This took me a lot longer to figure out than it should have even though he explained it pretty clearly xD
Thank you! I have previously used sketchup and tinkercad, But this really helped me out since this is more complex to use!
ОтветитьWow , the instruction is clean and clear
ОтветитьYay I made a toy Block in something other than tinkercad LOL
ОтветитьUnfortunately not everyone will be happy no matter what you do someone will have something to pick apart. I'm extremely new to Fushion 360 and I think you have done a very good job on this tutorial. I found it extremely informative, easy to follow and full of great tips & detail. So don't second guess yourself or the excellent work you did making this video to help out a bunch of people. Thank you
Ответитьwhen i try to put down the circle and move it, the circle just expands. i can move it with the center but then i can’t change my dimensions. how do i fix this
ОтветитьI love this series. Huge respect to you for doing what you're doing
ОтветитьJust wanted to give thanks for this awsome trainig! 10/10
ОтветитьI have to say you were the teacher that got me into this. Many years later and stuck on something. I thought who better to ask. Maybe he knows. So here goes. My example. Imagine a wooden box with shallow sides. Ok its filled with fruit brimming over the edges. Now to make a mould for something to fit perfectly above that fruit touching down in all places against it. Fusion has the section analysis which looks like what I want as it passes over things but its not. So using the fruit analogy how to get the shape above it.
ОтветитьHi Sir, Very nice explained, I Understood simply. Thank you
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this video and will begin the program. Was nice and easy to follow and action using two screens.
ОтветитьI have one block for building. It took me 45 mins of pausing and redoing what I’d done as it’s very easy to miss little steps. Like the circles on top and selecting the two faces/sides. Totally missed that about 5 times. And the limiting the circle took me a while as it wasn’t having any lol
ОтветитьThis is great video but it goes by very quickly! Some basic information about how to select things and maneuver around the UI might be helpful. Also, some menu settings seem to have changed in my version of Fusion 360, making it a bit confusing. Nevertheless I am really impressed with the tutorial and hope to work through the next 29 episodes!!
ОтветитьSo frustrated beyond belief. Every time I try and follow along with a tutorial, the dialog boxes are NEVER the same between my version and the tutorial video's version. I know this is Autodesk's fault. Why would they do this CONSTANTLY?
Ответить
