Always online games are such a great idea... If Riot cared they could make dedicated servers so anyone could host it and separate it from the Internet, but seems like they don't give a single f and only care about making more money by centralizing servers.

Riot is a small indie company, there is no way they can make a peer to peer client for teams to use to skrim with, and they wouldn't use that same client for tournament matches.

As a dota 2 player I am genuinely shocked that riot hasn't done more, with value spending a lot of time in the last year improving the matchmaking system I thought that value wasn't paying as much attention to balance updates as I had hoped. Good to know that at least they priorities a game that actually works.
