How can I set the alarm on phone that I just have vibrations without any noise?
ОтветитьThe part about most newer phones having both NFC and Bluetooth is definitely not accurate. While every phone pretty much has Bluetooth, the same cannot be said for NFC which is typically reserved for devices 300$ and above unless you are buying old used devices.
ОтветитьHi, in your info you state that in the US they us freestyle Libra 2 everywhere where else in the world they use Libra Link, FYI Canadians use the Freestyle Libra 2 as well. Im Canadian and use Freestyle Libra 2! Thank you your information has been very helpful to me😊
ОтветитьUgh, i wish i could get his without a doctor's prescription 😢my doctor wont prescribe it even when i have dropped to 60 a couple of times. I'm sure i have RH
ОтветитьI believe some schools ban diabetic kids from using these in class
ОтветитьSo useful and quick video!!! I am i think pre-diabetic. I do have always symptoms 1-2 hours after eating and i do get anxiety before eating because i do feel weird after eating and hard to explain and it takes another 1,5-2 hours symptoms to stop!
ОтветитьThank you, I am new at this and I have learned a lot how to use a freestyle from you
ОтветитьYou can actually use the sensor on the reader and a phone, as long as you start the sensor with the reader
ОтветитьLiber 3 is way better…but if comparing with cutting fingers😂 this Libre 2 is perfect 😂
ОтветитьThis is a great video, but DUDE. The needle is TINY. 😆
Ответитьoh my god, the crucial detail about the needle not staying in was what I needed 😂 i'm chubby, my fat will protect me from the sting 🧈💪✨
ОтветитьToo bad Abbott and other CGM developers didn't consider the thousands of blind diabetics when they designed their CGM and the Reader that comes with it. "Line up the marks", and the Reader does not have audio output, which makes it inaccessible to the blind, which I consider inexcusable. My watch speaks to me, my alarm clocks speak to me, my HAM radios speak to me, my smart TV and cell phones speak to me, etc, yet my CGM, which is critical to my health, DOES NOT speak to me?? There is no excuse with the modern speech technology that is out there, and so affordable to implement too. You can purchase a talking watch for under $10 for example. I do own a cell phone, but unfortunately it will not work with the Libre 2, and I don't plan to go out and spend hundreds of dollars for a new cell phone that will work with the Libre CGM. To reiterate, the Reader should speak and be accessible to the blind, dyslexic, etc. Sad, and again, inexcusable in my opinion.
Ответитьwhere is the best part of your arm to place your libre 2 Sensor?
Ответитьcan you add sensor 13th day
ОтветитьI watched this a number of months ago. It has worked so well for me, I had to come back and say thanks.
Thanks
Please can you help me? I am new to the libre 2. I have set the alarms and set up the libre link. If I become hypo in the night dose the alarm automatically go off and wake me up? I can't get information on this but I don't think it will wake me up? I have bn using the Dexcom g7 that wakes me up with the alarm I'd I am hypo in the night which I really need so will not continue with the freestyle libre if it will not wake me.
Many thanks sam
Very nervous about the needle. Doesn’t hurt does it ?
ОтветитьHow long does one sensor last?
ОтветитьThank you so much! Just applied my first sensor thanks to your guidance! :)
ОтветитьDoes it come with an iOS application like the Dexcom does?
ОтветитьQuestion: The Freestyle Libre monitor isn't needed (for setup / monitoring) if the user opts to use the Smart-Phone application?
ОтветитьThat app had spoiled my cellphone ...lack of charging and slow wifi effects
ОтветитьWe use the same app in Canada
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьI just commented on another video, was super nervous but got there in the end, literaly felt nothing of a needle thankfully, just hope it gives a good reading since the sensor expired in may. Took me a while to get around to setting it up
ОтветитьThis was so useful! I'm a new Libre user (for gestational diabetes) and didn't know that there's just the filament that stays in the arm.
ОтветитьI was wondering about the alarm. I didn't realize it was sending data over bluetooth. Good video. Informative and helpful. Thanks.
ОтветитьI just finished the second sensor. I have had a very high failure rate. The first two failed to turn on and the third worked. Abbott sent me two replacements. Of the two replacements one worked and the other did not. So they sent me another replacement. I just now put it on and it too is a failed sensor. I have to wait until tomorrow to call Abbott for another replacement. So far, out of 6 sensors, only two have worked and four have failed .... that is a really bad failure rate and I just don't see how the company is going to stay in business with that kind of failure rate.
ОтветитьCan someone tell me if I need the reader or the app is good to go?
ОтветитьBeen following your videos since the Freestyle Libre 1, great job on giving us all the info. I live in US and can't wait to get Freestyle Libre here in the states. I don't know why Abbott keep so hush on the actual release date and when pharmacies will carry it.
ОтветитьI have been a Libre 2 user for 1 year , and both the product and your videos have been a slam dunk for me . I must , however, disagree with one thing you said . I use a Samsung S20 and no matter what the sound setting is on the phone , the alarms still sound . The only way to prevent this , at least on my phone, is to turn off notifications for the Libre app temporarily if I'm in a setting that calls for it . I'm anxiously awaiting availability of the Libre 3 , and I noticed that the app for it is now available in the Play Store . I hope that means it will be soon. Keep the information coming ! I suspect you are helping thousands of people cope with both types of Diabetes.
Ответитьhi there, you get wrong when you said that you can't use at the same time the device and the phone. You Can use both, if you start the sensor whit device first and than scan with the phone and a message will appear that, you are able to use both. hope this help✌️
ОтветитьCan you still workout, lift heavy weights, as if someone plans to bulk up,
ОтветитьI disassemble the applicator to dispose of them, and the bare needle is quite long.
ОтветитьGreat video as always. I just wish these providers would make it easier for people like me in Kenya to purchase!
ОтветитьCan you tell me how to stop bumping into it . And prevent it from coming off .?
ОтветитьI don't care much for us meds
ОтветитьGreat video. Very helpful. Thanks.
ОтветитьI make my husband do it for me and I scream at the top of my lungs just so I can laugh at him 🤣
ОтветитьCan you please do a new review on the libre 3?? More in-depth? I’m impatiently waiting for it to come to Canada! It was fda approved in the states recently so hopefully Canada will be soon!!
ОтветитьWhy prick when you can scan ??
Why scan when you can have the data automatically uploaded to your phone!
Abbot need to listen to the diabetic community and deliver a fit for purpose product. Its a great sensor when used with a third party app
Pla show how to activate in phone
ОтветитьI like to offer some first-hand anecdotal experience with putting these sensors on as an FYI. I found the adhesive on the sensors are usually not good enough to last the full two weeks. If you work out or are moderately active, sweat and showers will weaken the adhesion and they tend to drop off. At $75 a pop per sensor, this can be an expensive problem and frustration can set in quickly as it did with me the first month I used them.
Solution: After a lot of trial and error; and a few sensors ruined. I did a little research online that made this system finally work for me. I purchased skin adhesive barrier wipes . There are a few suppliers available but I use a brand name called SKIN TAC WIPE . After you clean the area where the sensor will be placed with alcohol wipes and allowed to dry. Use a adhesive wipe over the area. This makes the skin extra sticky and gives the sensor better adhesion to the site you have determined to place it on. The box of 50 wipes cost about $15 USD, sometimes its on sale for less. Fifty wipes should last two years (52 weeks in one year, one wipe every two weeks).
The next solution is just an extra step I use to make sure it stays put on my arm for the two weeks. I use CGM sensor patches. There are many brands available. I picked up a 30 count box of sensor patches for $9. Should last me more than a year.
Using these two additional steps, I workout in the gym several days a week and the sensors don't fall off. They stay put for the entire two weeks. Total cost comes to 56 cents additionally to make sure the sensor is well attached and secure to my arm ($15/50) + (8/30) = 0.56 cents per sensor. I never had one come off since I used this technique and it saved me the frustration of calling Abbott customer service number to get them to send me a new sensor and then waiting for Fedex to deliver it days later.
What if i have two phones with the same appstore account, and both phones with the same app. Will both of them give the alert if one phone is far away?.
ОтветитьI have little to no fat in my arms, so often, when i put it in my right arm, i feel the sensor and it hurts for the whole 2 weeks. Doesn’t happen on my left (right being my main arm). Do you have any tip?
ОтветитьHow do I activate the voice that informs you of your reading
