As a beginner, I understand that it isn't necessary to use accelerator to put the bike into motion, to start off with. Release clutch slowly to get the bike into motion, apply rear brake, stop. Practice this a few times, before you start using throttle, is this right or wrong. I am a women of 60 buying my first bike to ride on the farm.

Going from riding to stopping is what I'm struggling with that's my problem, I don't know how to slow down and use brakes, like when you stop at a stop sign, do i slow down then go to neutral, or still in gear but i know ill get it, im just scared of blowing the engine or breaking a part on the bike

I'm afraid of 2 strokes! That quick response and power bands is not for beginners. When I was 15 I got hurt real bad, now I'm 65 and I love my 4 stroke! It's more manageable for me, still pretty fast!

hey i commented quite a while ago about what bike to and something about a yz 125 but now i wanna let you know i got the bike but insted of a 125 i got a 230 then my dad decided it wasnt enough for me after about 4 months and now im racing ive always been on bike but idk if you remember me but me and my dad now have 2 yz250x a 2017 and a 22

When shifting into 2nd, 3rd etc, do you release the clutch slowly? or just let it go, because ive only ever done clutchless shifting

Shifting is simple for beginners, you have to talk about turning, corners, bike constantly feels like it’s sliding out from you, hit front brake to hard flip over bars, and on n on n on not easy lmao 🤣

5 years later and you’re still helping people haha. I got my first bike a few days ago and have shifting up and down pretty good but I’m terrible at the getting bro first and starting smoothly so this helps a lot Thankfully I haven’t fallen off yet but have gotten into a few unintentional wheelies 😂

Were I was 3 my dad bought a old rusted Yamaha 49cc he got I cleaned up and running. He showed me how to ride it, soon I was 4 and and my dad started talking about racing at first I was scared but after some time, he got me a ktm50cc I was too small for so we put it in the shed for 2 months then my dad got me to try it and I remember I wene I sat on it my dad kicked it a few times and after some time we had it going up and down the sidewalks till the cops showed, they we almost sold it but then I told my dad, I Wana race it so we waited until I was 5 years old and my first race I got whisky frottle and I went flying into a bush lucky mom didn't see because if she did, she would get dad to sell the bike but she didn't. So basically I won most races after lost a few but in the end I won a 1st place trophy I still have today. So I went another year a new kid came in and he was faster then every bike including mine he took my 1th place trophy, and I got 2th place trophy. So next season I'm like 7 and I'm still on the 50cc ktm going good I was wining every single race until I hit a rut and fell off and then as I was getting up a kid came flying through the corner and ran over my neck, I was wearing lots of protective gear suit only did a tiny crack but that enough to get a ambulance called, I remember being put on a board thing and brought on the ambulance and rushed to a hospital that was full so they sent me to a sick kids, best hospital ever I remember I was laying in bed and my dad brought a ps4 to my bed and we plays a lot of game together, I ended up staying there for a month and had to were a Neck thing for a few months but I got that off and I was told to never ride a dirtbike again soo 2 weeks after I got my neck guard thing off I finished the season 4th place with a trophy, so after that we sold the bike. Now I'm 13 and I might get a ktm 65sx tomorrow for 600 I will update this If something happens that's related to this

Im 6'8 so turning is twice as scary since my first bike has to be a faster and larger one otherwise it doesnt work. Broke my leg on it with a sand pit acident so this is a good refresher for it.

Here’s one for y’all don’t be scared of the bike but don’t underestimate it you have to respect them they aren’t very forgiving when you crash don’t be scared but don’t get cocky

I just got mine today and im wondering if i have to hold the clutch and twist the throttle or do i just let go of the clutch and twist the throttle

See I screwed myself over on an actual bike and got into a wreck twice and screwed my knee up, I think I just got to start small with a dirt bike and see how that goes if I can do it again. Why I keep watching these videos because I'm trying not to be scared of riding a bike.
