Thanks Mike for this great tip with paper clip,I tried everything else not super glue😏I bought new long door lock £14 installed myself easily,luckily key broke off in lock when door was open so at least I could remove door lock 👍😁I did remove broken key with nappy sefety pin same method as didn't source paper clip thanks again method 👍🤗🎉 FC

Melt the tip of a craft glue stick..shove it into the open key hole, then pull out the key!!!! Wala

I had my car broken into once and the thief left a little tool similar to you paperclip except it is the one the road service people have if you get locked out of your car. It was a new car so when I went looking through it after the little tool left in the glove box stood out as not being there before. I took to the police who I reported it to, and they took from me said worth $200 on the black market. It was like your tool except not home made more professional purpose built. After wrestling with the broken key in the door at my place, I used your bent paper clip technique and eventually, I was able to get the broken section out.
