Malcontent makes this fight 3x easier, you will need to kill both Guardian Apes and the Shichimen Warrior twice in order to obtain it though.

are you able to anti air deathblow the headless when he does that jump/flying move?

I felt comfortable with deflecting after progressing a little bit into the game and decided to take on this guy, I took my divine confetti and went right on to face him, and I was gutted like a fish after 2 seconds.

Thank lord you have to kill most of them only once. The lazuli one is luckily one of the easiest ones with an umbrella and aerial deathblow. Also they just straight up scare me😅

Guys look if you use an finger whistle it will stun headless and you can easily kill him (I hope it is helpful)

its honestly easiest if you just play aggressive. taking longer is just wasteful on resources

This sekiro game reminds me of inuyasha

I used the third method, but I spent quite a bit of time practicing before using any devine confetti, the mottled purple gourd helps a lot with this. Then once you can consistently deflect him and know when to get some attacks in, start using the confetti to reduce his vitality to a point where you can max out his posture bar with deflections.

the easiest is using the lilac umbrella as u get it early with enough money and resources

I don't know how to farm but if you know how to parry i'll recommend going to fountainhead palace and just kill the nobles, they die in like 1 hit and they give a lot of coins

Best cheese is to go into the tunnel and hit the bastard at the entrance and step back occasionally and make sure you use divine confetti. Took him out with hardly any damage . This type of mini boss is annoying and with diminishing return . Don’t have time to deflect his stupidity .I wouldn’t have known to use the tunnel without this tutorial . Thanks 🙏

Just fought this mofo a few times til I ran out divine confetti gawd its a drag! I managed to take his first life each time but then got greedy and didnt manage my terror and died. But I learned that he can get stunlocked with whirlwind strikes and killed very quickly if you can sort of get behind him. Dont think I`ll bother to come back to his dank lair again though. Looked it up and his loot is not really worth it, is it? Also, The Horror!

This was a really good boss guide. You actually explained everything in detail and now I feel confident in going back in the cave to fight this f**ker. I've died at least 10 times he seems like such an easy boss but it's actually suprisingly hard

I've found that for the non-underwater headless, the Phoenix's Lilac Umbrella is absolutely critical until you're used to his irregular attack patterns. Being able to block without terror buildup is vital if you're getting cornered, and it can be hard to time his swings when you feel pressured because he has a bad habit of switching up between slow and fast attacks, or attacks that start slow and suddenly speed up. The game gives you tools, don't be afraid to use them.

If you have an attack powr of at least 7 which would be a little after mid game (fountainhead), then you can kill him easy. Use Ako / Yashariku sugar and divine confetti combo. Spam and deflect. He will die in like 35 seconds.

The only way I got him below half way on the 2nd death blow attempt was the opening in the cave bate.

I ran out of confetti when he had about an eighth of his health on his last health bar, and so for the next 20 minutes I proceeded to widdle down his health. It took a very long time even though he had barely any health the entire time but I eventually got him. Needless to say I got very good at dodging his attacks and hitting him when I got the opportunity.

You can’t kill him from the cave anymore. Just tried it. They reworked him so if you do go in the cave he just sits at outside and shoots his projectiles when you go outside to check why he’s not coming up.
