Great vlog can I ask one question does iMovie support 5k video I fly a DJI Mavic classic and it films in 5.1k will it render a video in that resolution ?

Great video, one thing I want to mention for all the newBs in editing (like myself), DO NOT edit a video imported directly from Camera or SD-Card, because after you are all done, iMovie will not let you export it and you would lose all the efforts you put on the project and you gotta do it all over again!! Make sure to move those videos to your disk and then import them and edit them.

You did not mention that when emailing the large file, that an option on the Mac appears for a link to air drop from iCloud. Is the resolution then minimal? Not sure if the high quality video would sit in iCloud or whether it is at a much lower resolution. I want to show the videos on my 4K 65" TV.

This was very good so informative, I have just question, how to create 3 library for you had California, Arizona and IMovie Library? I had my IMovie library in my external hard drive to save space on my Mac. pls. advice how to do 3 library?

I'm new, so maybe you've answered this question. I have a very specific request for iMovie - using it on the ipad was very straightforward and easy, and I could view my icloud photos, filter only videos, and view by date to pull specific days' worth of videos. I'm using a MacBook now and still wanting to create very simple import-clips-in-and-trim-and save videos. I CAN'T figure out how to view my icloud photos, filter to only video and by date, so I can import videos from a specific day. Thank you for any guidance!

Very informative video thank you! The idea of editing your clips before you put them in a project is a great one. However I’m not sure this will work for me. My videos are coming off of DVDs saved from even older formats, each clip is 45 to 50 minutes. I discovered you can’t split the clip before it’s in a project. Any ideas?
