What do you think of the office? I’ll make a life update video soon, showing the whole place!🙏🏼🙏🏼
ОтветитьThanks for the informative video. Let’s say you calibrate the monitor with all your window shades and door closed, does that mean that from then on, you should work all the shades and door closed? Or else the calibration would be off?
Also, since you have two different model of BenQ, do they display the same? Or are there slight differences in the image? Does the XRite solve the different models issue through calibration? Thanks again
please share the setting of monitor to get a same colour output
ОтветитьSo I pleasing video colors are so good , keep it up
ОтветитьOnce your monitor is calibrated do you need to enable anything in resolve or create a 3D lut? I have the exact same colorimeter coming in the mail! I also have the exact same monitors.
Thanks!
Hey Is a 10 bit monitor a need in color grading ?
Also am considering pd2700Q ( which is the only 10 bit monitor and the cheapest of the 3 ) , PD 2705Q ( which is the updated version of pd2700q & apparently 8bit ) And Asus Proart Pa278Qv ... Which should I buy ?
hello, what software did you use to calibrate?
ОтветитьWhich lutbox or color transfer box are you using 🤔 aja or Blackmagic or ......
ОтветитьHope you're having a great holiday Sjored! Do you think that USB-C is enough for this monitor? There is a thunderbolt 3 port version of the BenQ PD2705U, but I don't know why someone would choose the thunderbolt edition over the model you're reviewing. Do you have any insight on this? Is there a major difference between the usb-c versus thunderbolt? Please let me know!
ОтветитьGreat video!!!! I can't get a correct calibration :( I have a benqSW monitor, imac and resolve, what are the best settings to calibrate? Do You activate "Mac display color profile" on resolve?
ОтветитьWhat is your monitor calibrator model? How much does it cost?
ОтветитьHey, nice setup! Enjoyed by wathcing it. Does Ultrastudio Mini Monitor is enough for reference monitor? I just began learning and want to be a cinema colorist in a future!
ОтветитьWhy didn't you mention the most essential part of a grading setup, a decklink card? The colours you are looking at on your screen are now affected by your GPU over which you have no control. Not a single serious post production facility runs their suites without one. I think you are missing an essential part in your knowledge about colorgrading hardware.
Ответитьhow did you connect both monitors to your MacBook pro?
ОтветитьHi, Wess. I have photophobia, it's an eye discomfort problem that triggers migraine when the eyes get exposed to strong light, sunlight or a very strong room light, or even pc light.
Do you think I can wear tinted glasses as colourist? or a pure anti blue lens glasses.
Most of the time, I can use the pc, but I can't use it on a full brightness.
Do you think I can also reduce my pc brightness to like 70%?
cool man 😀
ОтветитьBro SRGB Or Adobe RGB wich better for colour grading
ОтветитьYou should build a PC. Maybe you hate Windows but for 2k eur you cand build a 2xfaster PC than that Macbook.
ОтветитьHey man, amazing setup. Just a question, are you using a decklink to send a clean signal from your Mac to the Display? This is what everybody says, if you just connect your laptop you are not actually seeing a "correct" image on your display because it is being color processed first by your Mac.
ОтветитьAwesome!
Ответитьstill looking to buy blackmagic 6k pro
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your setup!
ОтветитьWhat do you think of the new Apple studio display for a monitor setup?
ОтветитьHave you seen the hawawait mate view 28? It has 10 bit colour and very wide colour gamut
ОтветитьI personally would switch priorities from the 2400$ panel for a better monitor. Clients usually will care less how your personal experience of grading is like than having more accurate grading. From my experience, you can really tell the difference of a 400 and a 1000$ monitor. Especially if you do a lot of high key commercial stuff that require a "cleaner" look rather than a filmic moody one. Headroom for error is smaller for the first. Just my 2 cents :)
Ответить🤟🙏🏻
ОтветитьThat’s a great set up, man! Love those panels!!! I wish I knew Resolve as I know FCPX, mostly cause now I’m shooting in bRaw and I have to import the footage in Resolve and export it to fcpx… I’m using the iMac 27” which has an amazing 5K monitor, but working with 2 monitors is very handy, so I got a Samsun old tv but the image is very bad-mostly cause I have a 5K beside… and I was very tempted to buy one of those Apple cinema displays (the thunderbolt one), but today Apple may release new monitors….. cheers, buddy (always ended up writing a lot 😂- only with you)
ОтветитьCredible overview, Sjoerd. Office background, a plus — work environment adds to aura, IMO; window light on left a tad distracting. Suggest it be covered or out of frame in future. Not a fan of soft music in talking head background — also detracts, though some might think it adds “cool” factor. Valid variability comment about color perception differences for different devices.
How often do you calibrate the monitor?
Effective thumbnail. Let’s see if I’ve learned anything from your posts — my bet is that the “model” was lit, in part, by “practical” lighting, not just lit by monitors. Yes? If so, I owe you a virtual beer 🍺. Otherwise ... never mind😁. Cheers!
Solid setup man, thanks for the insights! What about Display Pilot though.. Benq says it's not supported by the M1 Macs..?
ОтветитьLooking good This new setup 😍
Ответитьsheeeesh look at that new setup - looking good !
ОтветитьWhat kind of screen arms are you using? Slick set up ;)
