Was really hoping for a 4k video...

I kept coming across mixed or negative reviews for the 3D sequel of the stronghold games. Are the bugs fixed or still there?

Why stronghold become darker each years ?

The only game, the more it evaluates, the worst it gets...

I spent countless hours on Stronghold & Stronghold Crusader in my youth in the early 2000s. They were magical. The newer versions seem to have been overworked? I tried downloading one of the iPhone versions and it feels like they’ve added way too much and it’s lost its original feel. I feel a bit lost navigating around on a tiny screen for the amount they’ve put in 😂. Loved Firefly’s early work better, will see if I can find those nostalgic games again!

Stronghold 2 is from 2005

I don't understand why no one talks about Stronghold Legends. I spent HUNDREDS of hours on it and consider it the best one.

the music of this game is amazing.

It was always baffling to me how they managed to make every game after the original (and crusader) look worse and worse. To me, none of the sequels come even close to the style and look of the original.

Stronghold, the original… it was a god damn masterpiece. They wasted all the potential unfortunately

I played all Warcraft RTS games . Somehow for Warcraft when it went 3D the game just works. Same goes for C&C, it works on 3D.

Wonder why the Stronghold games just fails when it went 3D.

They should go back to 2D. I'm sure it's the game's strong feature.

So many releases yet they just needed to update the first one.
Now they release a "definitive" Edition, it's a reskin you will pay for that's it.

Warlords really picks up where Stronghold 2 and 3 fell short - finally giving this one a go, love it but annoying the Skirmish trail doesn't save so I make sure to save a game each newly unlocked Skirmish. Had the same issue with Crusader 2 :(

Still can't deny the first Stronghold and Crusader are the best and a proper new edition needs to follow their isometric style in upgraded graphics like the upcoming Definitive Edition of Stronghold. Hoping a Crusader DE is Stronghold DE does well.

Need to retry Stronghold 3 again, most advanced physics but most limited in gameplay too.
Curious if Firefly will incorporate some innovations from Kingdoms into Stronghold DE.

Stronghold Crusader 1.0 was very very very good. Now all of them are sucks.

The first game is still the best, 2 and 3 just removed features that the first game had and made it way worse

SH2 was pretty decent despite the bad reviews at launch. It’s the only 3D version I liked. And of course the first SH. I never really liked the desert theme of crusader.

Sadly shitty game except of first 2 games and Stronghold Crusader extreme.

As much as I like Stronghold to have more civilization. I think it's better to limited it to Europe and middle east. Cuz I am also Age of empires fan and I dont want stronghold copy age of empires.

kind went downhill once it became 3d - they had some good ideas in the later games but they never recaptured the magic from the original. I would love a new stronghold game made fully 2d with beautiful hd sprite-work and all the units and building chains from stronghold 2. Imagine having all the building done in the original 2d style but much higher res and from all sides, so you could rotate the map without your town looking strange.

What about stronghold 3 gold editon?

The coloration in Stronghold 1 is one of a kind,
that mild green color of grass and forests combined the soundtrack relaxes my mind and frees me from stress...🌳🎶

I really love stronghold 2, the game mechanic it's so unique, you not only build your own unit and attack, you need to watch your people too, your area need to stay clean from poop so your people didn't easily get sick, you need pest control, thieves need to be punish in the jail or public execution to give example to your people and gain respect, you can give your people entertainment like jousting or circus, if you rich enough, your lord can open big meal in his castle and your lord also can having an empress, it's all a really nice touch for me

But unfortunately Stronghold 2 no longer can running smoothly in my PC, it suddenly close to windows
