Started playing this game this morning for the first time. Needless to say, it's going to be a painful, but fun, learning experience.

i keep getting this video on my recommended and i hate that because i've already seen it and know you don't enjoy the game. I would love to see you give this game another chance, it's by far the best zombie survival game out there imo. It's not as action packed as 7 days of course, but for me that's not necessary. The immersion is what does it for me

Power and water note: It's random
In the settings you can set it towhatever day you want it to be, but i think it's just innevitibly random, it could be day one, it could be day 30 (default), it could be never, if you set it to never.
if you just set the day to day 1-100000 or something like that, it could be now or never, but unless you tick the it never turns off notelet, it will stilll go off.

You should have put the fireman jacket on its gives very good protection.

I feel like stomping on heads should risk breaking your foot. Is this a feature on a more hardcore mode? Would be cool to break a foot then be forced to limp. Making it hard to get away. Then to temporarily fix it you could use some kind of wrap? And you would have to keep it wrapped until it eventually healed.

I never played this game so I don't know if this is already in the game or not. Just seemed like cheezing zombies by that fence tactic should not be so useful hah. Great tactic though :)

Effortlessly dispatching a group of like a dozen zambos at once without a scratch and then whiffing the push on a single bugger hanging out in a backyard and getting savaged is the most Project Zomboid thing ever 😂

How do you play build 41?

7dtd need more survivalism and more zombie hordes and behavior like zomboid.
zomboid is less smooth in terms of ui, pov, and the "overview" is a greyzone in terms of op-ness and realism.
i havent played zomboid since its very early days so i bet these things have improved quite a bit.
i bought 7dtd when it came out and left it for years before taking it up again late a18. so both games very pretty weak to begin with and have grown immensely.

I adore this game. It can be quite intimidating for new players with all the crafting and need to know knowledge that's surprisingly in depth but imo this is probably the most in-depth zombie game ever made. So much neat shit you can do straight from vanilla but the mods for this game are just chefs kiss. And the fact it is practically 100% customizable.


For example, you can get sick from being too bloody in this game and not cleaning yourself. Say you're covered in zombie blood and get a scratch wound, there's a legit chance you can get infected but it also impacts your stress and anxiety levels too, being covered in blood and viscera. Though you can turn this off in the menus, making only the bites cause infection. The grindy nature of it can be very irksome but even that is customizeable too. The only thing this game really lacks is gun play but there are mods for that as well. I was streaming this game on twitch for a while but I realized my comp and internet was garbage for it and gave up, but I digress.


This is the quintessential zombie game and Glock, you really should take some character traits. They make a hell of a difference. One of the best traits in the game is the veteran one because that panic moodlet you get when around zombies can seriously impact combat. If you get too panicked you better just run.

You should consider getting some TV time during the first week or so, there are shows that will improve your skills like carpentry and survival.
