Novation // UltraNova: Inputs and Outputs

how do i connect a Novation Ultranova and a Novation Circuit to the Audiohub? I can't figure out how to use both instruments together.

After months of not playing with the Ultranova and only having it hooked up to the PC months ago I have to ask: How do I set it up as a pure midi-controller for the iPad via USB?

I fell in love with the Ultranova and bought it as my first ever instrument that is digital but uses analog cables. So maybe my question is stupid. I want to use an external microphone (Samson C01). Do I need extra electricity for that one or does the Ultranova input carry power?

I connect my Ultranova only with electricity adapter but no USB and it does not work.
Do I need the USB in order for the Ultra to work?

Just got a hold of this. I have never used hardware synths in my life so apologies if this comes off as stupid. I am trying to use the Ultranova with ableton but can't seem to get the ultranova to make any sound without using the ultranova soundcard. However my speakers are connected to my PC and I want to use those to output my sound. Is there a way I can still get the sound from my speakers without connecting them to the Ultranova?

so, having this synth for a few years now but i just connected an external synthesizer for the first time (never too late to try i guess :) ) so my question...  is there a way to tweak the effects? like the lenght of the delay/reverb etc or are they locked?

id like a simpler set up vid… showing full connections not just the back of the UN and a bit more explanation on spdif

HI mrbtapir, That's right. Just use the SP/dif for audio out and the USB to computer for the Editor. Any questions please email Novation Technical Support.

So with the SPDIF, you could connect the synth to an audio interface (and then to the computer/DAW) through the spdif bit, thus not taking up any of the line inputs on the interface?

I'd buy it tomorrow if it had 49 keys!!! forget 37 keys!!

wait so u can just plug in JUST the USB into the computer and hear it with in the DAW?

Vst control, audio in over trs, USB sound, automap this is the complete package. Automap is drag and drop ......very ez don't understand why ppl have problems with it.......oh I forgot, too lazy to read the manuals.

@marcussterzer Yes, you can use the spdif out as well as the TRS 1/4 inch jack outputs.

what sample rate/bit depth is the inbuilt sound, and what latency can i expect to get for asio?? I'm buyin one anyways, I've been waiting for this synth for ages, Its gonna sit nicely next to my K-Station, KS4 and SuperNova II :)

The Ultranova is a two in 4 out sound card which can be used with the Synth and the MIDI control at the same time. You can also use the effects of the Ultranova with the Audio inputs as well.

Is it possible to use it as a soundcard(for PC DAWs), synth and midi controller at the same time?
