Wow. The trailer managed to not spoil the plot, this is true, but it also gives such a poor outline, and no hint of the laughs involved in this brilliant little movie. I've never heard of it until yesterday, and I've laughed myself silly over it, twice.

This movie came out in 2014 but the way they filmed it make it looks like it's from 2004.

A quick plot summary:

They put a large focus against a little girl keeping a diary, as though that is some outrageous & abnormal thing. The movie never makes sense of that.

I just saw this movie and I am absolutely infatuated with it, but I was shocked that I had never heard of it before? Especially since it got David Tennant in it, who I adore. And now when I see the trailer... It looks kinda bland? Not terrible, but it feels like this trailer didn't capture the fast pacing and jolly insanity that this family is.



So if anyone is hesitating to check this out (5 years after its premiere), just wacth the first 10 minutes of the movie. You'll immediately know if it's up your alley. I knew I was gonna love it after 8. <3
