I loved the PATSUX mission on the PS1 with the laser orcas

Tiberium Sun was the second game I ever played (after Duke Nukem).

So by the time I got around to playing Tiberium Dawn a decade later I was already spoiled by Tiberium Sun which is still my favorite of the entire series though admittedly I haven’t yet played RA3 Tiberium War or Tiberium 4 (forgot what Tiberium 4 was called but I heard it was awful anyway).

Yeah the AI usually just wants to hog all the resources too from you.
so they have multiple harvesters out hogging all the tiberium even though they dont even need it since they have unlimited resources.

No it was trash, as it was intended to be. But why then is it talked about? Well my kind morons, its because the time then was with no worries, eat drink shit and play, You were a child and this constant drowning in nostalgia means theres something bad about the world you live in, if we keep coming back here for the good times.. good times should be in future, not past.

I dont care, I'll just say it, bring back FMV cutscenes, especially if your game doesn't rely on being 100% serious.

It appears you're playing Nod the same way as GDI, and that's where you're running into difficulties.

They're not a bum-rush army like GDI. Use a recon bike to aggro their units and lure them into ambushes. Attack their harvesters with recon bukes and stealth tanks. Once GDI are suffocated of funds and most of their units taken out, then you can assault their base.

The best FMV was the Nod ending. The cyber-running sequence to then claim and use GDI's Ion Cannon was impressive and possibly worth the heartache and headache of actually beating the Nod campaign. Far more satisfying than the GDI one.

Remember, Westwood studios started the RTS genre with Dune 2...

I was like 8 years old and played it through. But don't remember much.. Just the first time i saw it on the pc of a friend. It looks so incredible awesome. The grafics were superior in my memory

COMMAND&CONQUER was and still is one of my favorite games ever. I loved the one where limousines were the special vehicle and they shot cannonballs like a machine gun. That game franchise was one of the best.

c&c / The Refab was Excellent, it plays better vs other people than vs AI.

I bought the remastered version and I think they took the piss out of me the way the mouse is used they need a really good talking to for making something so garbage...

Stupid Question the C&C games where one of the best games of their time.

it wasn'y just any good, it was the best rts in it's generation.
You had others like warcraft 1 (ewwh) or warcraft 2 (which had an interesting story and graphics up toi that for that time, but basically poor gaming experience, as both sides were essentially the same, just a couple of magic were different, like the ogre bloodlust or the necromancer or the wizard. There was zero greatness as an rts)
Whereas C&C offerend ballanced and substantially different sides, one focused on light skirmishers while the other was a heavy serious firepower slugger. And most importantly OPEN MAPS. Warcraft 2 also had open maps and that was also great for strategy making.
Even today if you look at W2 matches online you will see how much better they are than the stupid starcraft matches and it's bases layout with a starting safe base which you can wall off and natural which you can do the same. And idiotic blind timings of expected things.
Now returning to C&C, remember, this is mid 90s, the people that were inventing RTS genre, after the amazing Dune 2.
All sort of modern day controlling of units was not a thing back then, people would gradually refine these aspects, but still C&C was a major upgrade from Dune 2, which had you click on each unit individually and then click a command to move or attack for example. You had no option to select group and "A move" them

Kane gets a lot of love, but I'll always have a soft spot for Seth. RIP, buddy. In another world, you, me and that beret would have ruled the tiberium fields.
