Interesting video and topic…. Cutting to a closeup side view is totally unnecessary and distracting…. You loose eye contact with the viewer…. Not sure why you (and so many others) use this technique…. Is it just to show that I cam using a two camera setup? Sorry to make a critical comment, but step back and think about what the viewer is seeing…. Stay with shots from the main camera in the front… punch in from the front like you do, that’s ok…. But stop the closeup side views…. This is coming from a long time professional camera operator and editor…. Regards… Ron

I bought the A7Sii a month ago for 700,- it is having 1200 on shutter count and it looks like new! I also got A7Rii which is for stills unbelievable. To safe battery life I switched on airplane mode as well as I only use vintage glass (manual), that is saving a lot!

The conclusion here is perhaps all good but I don't think it is a problem that Sony made, we might just get more and more close to the limitation of physics so any major improvement will be either hard or impossible. Another thing is the modern cameras is perhaps already so good and perhaps no need to make major improvement. For example who really need 8K? I shoot my own family videos in 1080 most of the time.

I have a A7SII as well, love it but I cannot see myself while doing a video outside my home. So I got a ZV-E10 afterwards and used that until now as I just ordered an ZV-E1, as it is not that expensive as S3 or FX3. So nice to make some the fullframe images out doors 😅

Basically the whole video is BS! But I can see how you attract a certain type of people.

To answer your vlogging question there is a thriving culture of young women who vlog themselves. Vlogs today focus a lot more on the mundane of life and why it’s beautiful rather than making it seem more exciting if that makes sense. I often see people asking this question and I get confused because vlogging is still thriving, it just changed. Great video with great points tho!😊

I don't know why people would complain about recording limits: with MP4 recording it is always wise to stop recording from time to time to prevent damaged files. I advice this to my students in the first camera lesson.

I have a Sony A7sii and I will never buy another Sony camera again. They are junk build quality. For example, all the internal batteries in the A7ii models will die which has happened on many of them because Sony didn't fit a proper battery. Mine died just after a year. I've had several other problems. They are veey poorly made.

I think 8 bit is a bit of a deal breaker for me. It works until it doesn't. For example the client wants that daffodil to be the exact same yellow as their logo. Or that beautiful sunset you shot has banding through it.

i had 2 a7sii that i sold so my wife (photographer) can switch from nikon z6 to sony a7iv. this way, we can share lenses while shooting events. i kind of regret getting rid of the a7sii....i should've kept at least 1 of them.

Sony's only released 5 photo cameras in the past 3 years. 🤨 7 if you count the "A" versions of existing cameras, with the only change from the originals being a different LCD due to parts shortages.

Very nice video. The footage you shot looks pretty darn good. I have a couple of Sony aps-c cameras (a6500, a6000) and - while it might just be me - I always had a real hard time getting good colors out of the 8-bit footage. As you mentioned, nailing exposure is critical (as is nailing white balance). I am interested to know how the 1080p at 60fps is in the a7 II. It is pretty bad on my a6500, but maybe the 12MP sensor of the a7S II is better???

I’ve been shooting with 2 ZV-e10 bodies since it came out. No complaints other than the crop sensor requiring more lighting. I prefer to shoot as ambient as possible but I’ve restored to using some COB lights.

The A7RII is also a crazy good camera still. 42MP is really all you need for photography and the video quality isn't too far off from the A7SII. I used mine for years and made a video about it.

I have all those cameras. I really like the flip up screen from the a7sii. The flip out screen on the a7siii and zv-e1 are really hard to actually use for touch to focus when shooting handheld.

notice how the helios is probabl the most afforable vintage with great cinematic look lense out there, in almost every camera no matters the brand or sensor size is a sure bid to have fun out there, got mine years ago, to my gh5, actually using it in a6400 and old eso M. The value of that lense is amazing

Ok so let me give ya'll a little insight from my perspective.
A little bit about me:
I am 24 Years old and started with my sony a6300 in 2018.
I loved the a6300 because it has alot of benefits, fast AF for example! It also has a similar colorrange like the a7sii.
I got my A7sii back in 2021 for just 1000$, with a gimbal, a batterygrip and alot of other stuff I reselled so I got the camera for about 700$ in the end.

So I am using these Cameras together to get my ultimate low budget Video/Photography setup.
I have several lensen on them because lenses are a little more important to me then having a massive big Camera.
I have used both Cameras for shooting Musicvideos, Weddings, Carporns, Portraits.

I can really recomment using these cameras especially for the prices. So If you maybe have any further questions i would love to help any of you out!

Thanks for the Video, it just showed me what I have and it counters my craving buying a much more expensive Camera.
To my Luck the place I will be working will also hand me a Sony a7III which is also pretty neat.

What I am looking for in the future is to invest in Lighting equipment and maybe a Camera that can shoot 4K in 120FPS or at least 60FPS, and also 10bit is a huge deal if you want to get more professional.

But for beginners either the A7sii or the a6300 are my personal recommendations because you wont find better Cameras to get into Foto/Videography.

Got my A7sII for $500 2 years ago when the a7III were the hype. Been using it professionally ever since and the only issues are the AF!
