That studio sounded fantastic... 🙄
ОтветитьI truly believe the classic should be the most expensive Gibson les Paul. It leaves the others for dead. And who wants a guitar that weighs 9 to ten pounds?
The past is the past, The future is the classic. It has the attributes of the past and the advantages of the future.
Did I miss the Studio?
ОтветитьBought a classic, very nice but like my lp studio 1992 ebony fretboard better... great review
ОтветитьThose staches make me think they work out of the Vice Office of the Miami PD circa 1984.
ОтветитьI've ordered a standard 50s heritage cherry sunburst, still waiting on it until September cos of delivery problems
ОтветитьI enjoyed the look of confusion when trying to explain the 'Standard'! 2020 Gibson has finally dealt with Henry J's issue of confusion. I think JC and Caesar have nailed it.
Ответитьin this demo the classic sounded better. The standard sounded like the pickups were too close to the strings and sounded like an epiphone. But the classic had the really nice depth that all gibby's usually have. Nice playing btw!
Ответитьwhere is a les paul studio? you two fuckers!
ОтветитьClassic is the way to go
Ответить9.03 melody - so gooooood! what is it ?
ОтветитьLike the sarcastic fender mug in background 😂
ОтветитьI have a the 2016 LPS in Ebony. Your demo just confirmed that I should just stop looking for the new next best thing. Through my Katana Artist I am getting the same tones (near at least) which are great. Great job Gibson but not enough for me to trade. Nice video and great demo. 👍🐨🇦🇺
ОтветитьCrap
ОтветитьIf you're here to check out the new Studio don't even bother.
ОтветитьMy Gibson Government LP sounds awesome for Jazz, it has Dirty Fingers pickups
ОтветитьTesting a les paul on a bad, heavy distorted amp? Que?!
Ответитьexcellent
ОтветитьClassics sound the best!
ОтветитьРыжая Гитара красавчик мне б её надо
ОтветитьI think they are a bit overpriced now but that doesn't deter me at all, what does though is that they do not make any left handed models in ebony or white and if I am pulling the trigger on these pricetags it would have to be something I'm happy with visually as well
Ответитьoh god, this guy play guitar 2 weeks?
ОтветитьWhat about the neck profile and the weight ? These are determinig characteristics noone talks about... :(
ОтветитьI just picked up the new standard in a local store for $2899...awesome guitar. Better neck than my older 70s standard with much more variety of sound!
ОтветитьLittle surprised to see Les Paul's with their headstocks laying flat on the table. You should know better.
ОтветитьHow did you guys get to do a Gibson review you guys suck at playing like I’d listen to what you think
ОтветитьFrom what I see, their are 6 models of the 2019 Les Paul.
- Standard
- High Performance
- Traditional
- Classic
- Studio
- Tribute
To be honest, I think the high performance should disappear and fuse with the Standard as the modern guitar. Since they basically killed of the robot shit.
I don't really see a need for a Classic & traditional. Again fuse them into 1 guitar, a hommage to the classic traditional iconic les paul.
And the tribute and studio... Again budget les pauls. Why not just make 1 good budget les paul for so where in the middle. Like $1450.
Streamline the brand, focus on the quality and elimate thr need for all these variations. Which would shurly drive the price down a bit.
Hate that thin neck on a Les Paul. I have average hands and find a 50's neck more comfortable to play. At least make it an option.
ОтветитьWhats the weight of les paul classic 2019?
ОтветитьAre the studios still a bit thinner than the standards?
ОтветитьI’d like to see the Standard in the $1700- $1800 range, instead it’s twice that. I don’t know what Gibson’s cost is but they’ve strapped a whole bunch of stuff to it that I could do without. $3400 is pretty stiff, you could find a decent used car for that. I know nobody pays retail, but still.
ОтветитьStill sticking to my Epiphone Les paul custom for sure
ОтветитьGentlemen, this was a disappointment for me because of the Orange amp I assume you are using. It puts so much of its character into the sound, and it is a very peculiar character. Any Marshall would work better for a demo like this IMO.
ОтветитьPricing is just ridiculous now for mass produced guitars. I can literally build my own out of top grade wood (and buy all the tools to do it) for half the cost of a new Standard. o_0
Also the chambering has gone too far - and you can hear it. Sounds flat and dead.
People shitting on these guitars think it's all about specs. Walk into a store, try them out. If they suck, put them back and leave. Instruments aren't about specs they're about sound and feel.
ОтветитьTurds
ОтветитьMute the g string on that e power chord it sounds better.
ОтветитьAbsolutely banging? They might be the final nail in the coffin ffs.
ОтветитьI won't pay extra money for the 6 letters on the headstock. They are way overpriced.
Ответить2019 is the best Gibson have ever built? Get a grip XD
ОтветитьI want a classic
ОтветитьThe ebony Classic is pure eye candy. Just wish they came with the attachable scratch plate. I prefer my Les Paul's without them. Definitely love the zebra pick ups on an ebony finish.
ОтветитьWhat about the LP Traditional? That tobacco burst is the best Les Paul they've made in years.
ОтветитьI like the new range - but those price hikes ????? 👎
ОтветитьHello, thanks for the video guys. Nice Les Pauls..but the prices are ridiculous.. £2.800 for a standard..?! That's the price of a 2017 Standard HP which was just about worth it.. And price of the SGs and Studios.. I was praying, amongst others for HP blueberry burst to come back ( which had all sold around the world in days and people were begging Gibson to do a reissue..) and what have we got.. bloody blueberry fade that barely anyone wants and shops can't seem to sell it even discounted.. arghhh..WHEN IS GIBSON GONNA START LISTENING TO PEOPLE (musicians, customers)?! I do own Les Pauls btw.. so you don't think I am just trolling :) I have 2007 Studio in wine red/gold hardware and 2016 Sunken Treasure in natural and I love them both! Sorry for the rant, rock on guys! All the best
ОтветитьYou couldn't say that after a few jars "burst bucker pickups"
ОтветитьLike'em except for the classic Grover tuners which I would trade for traditional Gibson ones. But that's only a cosmetic opinion.
ОтветитьAh man, Gibson you impressed me in 2017 and again and 2018 I should have known this wouldn't be your year.... This year has coil spitting but if you don't want coil splitting, go with a 17 or 18 every model has better pickups than what they've put in this years version (I know the term "better" is in the eye of the beholder"). I just checked their website and the prices of these guitars are ludacris. The SG line up this year may be even more offensive then the les pauls.... 1,099 USD for a faded? I don't care that they call it a tribute now, its exact same guitar as the faded which cost $600 two years ago, you get them used for $450.... pathedic Gibson.
