I frankly prefer the flexibility of double perks to the small benefits of enhanced perks.

But I also love being able to use adept mods to alleviate bad rolls in the barrels and magazines.

I'm just going to point out that the Chalice of Opulence and Cryptolyth Lure systems were replaced by weapon crafting in Witch Queen. Crafting was practically a direct response to the positive reception from those 2 things. It's really unlikely to see them return now that it's in the game, especially with the many changes to weapon crafting made in the past 2 years, even if I think it's healthier and more enjoyable than crafting is.

I think what we should be able to do is combine two of the same weapon into one. I have a summoner with great mag and barrel perks but terrible traits and one with great traits but terrible mag and barrel perks. I would love it if I could combine the two and get the best of both guns. IDC how much it would cost material wise, and you would still have to grind for it if you wanted the best combo

okay but dungeon weapons and dungeon farming is already the most slot machine you could get. armor shares the loot pool with weapons. like it really sucks that we cant even reroll masterworks. dont even get me started on the comp weapons having 6 rng slots to worry about and 3 drop max per week. its just really really bad both in terms of feel and probability

what do you think about the adept versions (summoner/slammer/prophet) of weapons that will be enhanceable (i didnt watch the podcast but read the summary where it states that the mag and barrel custumization is only for adepts so they can compete with the crafted versions) will the y have barrel and mag customization?

Budget wants to add things for players to grind that will take a while so that will keep players in the game longer. which could be an easy fix for crafting.

Decrease the red border drop rates, and increase the required red borders to obtain patterns to craft.

Then inflate the resources needed to craft said weapons, and add things you would need to hunt down and grind for on the current locations available in destiny. This can work hand in hand with the content rotation the devs have spoken about before. By rotating seasonal an location content, they can essentially change the loot pool at random, and have it to where you need to have certain resources from certain locations that are only available at certain times of a month or seasonal rotation.

This in practice would require players to scour maps like cosmodrome and an Europa , engage in more public events and lost sector, raids and dungeons would also become more grindy so take that thought as it is .

Increase the amount of red borders with seasonal rotations and content,for instance we have forsaken missions lock are light levels like with queen campaign, then allows us to grind an unlock forsaken weapons while exploring tangled shore for a limited time. ,
down the line, make armor craftable since we using skins now most of the time that we unlock by finding armor, make one armor piece you can craft that's an exotic,
That you choose which body slot it belongs to, with a selection of perks , and being able to decide it's stat roll from a limited amount of stat points provided.
So you have 60 points available and you decide you want it all into mobility and resilience. Make the required resources to craft it very costly and time consuming to instill value in the grind.


Add new perks to ghosts that compliment seasonal artifacts perks, for instance, a faster respawn in nightfall if you died while having a required armor charge count.
Or longer champion stun durations.

These things can be done over time after the game is finished, if Bungie truly has as much faith in the product as they claim too and are not lying to the players to milk every last cent out of destiny.

If they just made masterwork stats optional on all weapons id be happy. Im sick of deleting everything with handling on it. Handling is such a gross stat.

I've been playing Destiny since 2015 and I LOVE crafting and vehemently despise "RNG" only systems. Destiny 2 had been announced before I got Vex in D1. Random only is garbage. If it hadn't been for Rise of Iron being the most heavy metal thing in gaming EVER, I'd have never had enough forgiveness in my heart to play D2.

My main issues with them not extending barrel and mag changes to all enhanced weapons is that A. weapon drop rates are too low to justify the time spent getting them to drop at all. You can go an entire dungeon run with 2 secret chests and just get armor. There’s a good 30 minutes down the drain or maybe longer depending on the dungeon. And B. barrel and mag do more than just affect feel on guns. Accelerated coils on fusions is a strict dps increase which is not “feel”. Blinding nades add endless utility and that’s certainly not feel. Spike nades albeit much less now still affect damage output to a minor degree. Mag extension perks have direct a direct effect on things like reconstruction or envious assassin. So I don’t particularly like the description of 3rd column perks at the very least only having an effect on feel. Charge time mw also affects dps for the record and blast radius due to how heavy gl’s work decreases the amount of damage increase you get with spike grenades. These things do actually matter to a degree. So I want them to do one of 2 things going forward add another form of bad luck protection like putting an endgame material in and removing a perk from a guns perk pool for you would be cool albeit probably too technically demanding but something of that effect would be nice. Just add bad luck protection or make every encounter in a raid or dungeon always drop a weapon with the chance to drop armor or a second weapon. The time spent on grind to reward in this game is borderline predatory. If there was money involved we’d be edging on gacha territory and I don’t think the community really realizes how bad things are because destiny wants to be your only game if you wanna play end game so how could you know how green the grass is on the other side.

Sucks you wont be able to change the Magazine perk… I got a 4 out of 5 Elsie’s Rifle with Fluted Barrel (which I am fine with but would have loved arrowhead break), Appended Mag (I want ricochet rounds), zen moment, desperado, with stability MW… strict PVP role. Now I still need to grind for a role with ricochet rounds

I always wanted a way to have selectable perks on a weapon and wanted adepts to feel special. Bungie basically admited the adepts are how you get that.

Initially I would be glad to pay a ton of materials on crafting but since they said selectable perks put a strain on the system I understand.

These makes the raid adepts sought after for me. The pain point really is farming them is extremely awkward after they removed spoils from raids not from the latest expansion. But if you get all spoils from secret chests from the community checkpoints you get up to 100 spoils per week. You can really only focus a single adept every 2 weeks if you're looking for the god roll (not counting random drops) I think that is fine and it does force you to make choices... you most likely won't get all the adepts, but you can get the ones you really want and that's fine by me. Them being enhanceable also solves the problem.

As a strictly PvP only player, I'm glad the enhancement system was finally added to at least one PvP only weapon (Summoner). I've long been a proponent of PvP only players having a similar path to grinding max light level as PvE players. But for some reason PvE players reach PVP endgame level faster than PvP players.
