I want to pay $50 for a $1000 drone (Really??)

Woohoo I fixed my problem with the unable to take off code 30064! Thank you Lord in the name of Jesus Amen... I had to unbind all three the Drone the controller and my cell phone and it work I'm so happy!! Woohoo!

Ben awhile since I've been on here. Captain drone! Gotta question for you. I hope you can help. I've got The DJI Mini SE the basic of the basic great drone. Now since I've had it 2 years, all of a sudden. It's saying unable to take off, and it gives me an error code of 30064. Checked with DJI and watch a bunch of FYI videos. Still nothing to help me remove the code DJ.I says send it to them. I don't have the money to do that. They said they would pay postage. But they're still gonna charge for whatever. Barely got into drones. I bought one for around $130-$150. It's not the greatest. Lacks a lot of features. It's 4k. But has a very limited range, and slightest object in the way will start lagging the connection. But I know what I paid for. I didn't buy the highest end drone. Nor did I think it's a good idea to do so right off the bat. I am now saving up for the Autel Evo Nano+. As it honestly seems like one of the best options for a drone. While not hitting the $1000 mark. I think I saw them on sale for around $600. But I can't imagine wanting to use a drone for your business', but only wanting to spend around $100.

We have a nonprofit tv/recording business. They aren't big at all as our town isn't big. But they tend to do the filming for businesses adds. They don't use it too much. But they have a drone that is around $20,000. I think it's an Dji Inspire or something like it. It's insane, and they rarely take it out since only one person is allowed to use it. You don't need to send $20,000 on a drone. But at least think about representing your business, and don't go cheap.

If i watch drone footage of landscapes, then go there as a tourist, its nothing like the same. I want to make and see footage that can be experienced in person. I want to make it by myself, and including myself in the footage (standing, walking, mountainbiking)

Having come across the Hover Air X1 drone in the last few days, its almost exactly what I want. Simple and quick to launch, pre-programmed functions. But its $385usd!!! And only has a 2.7k 30fps camera. Its pretty good, smooth footage. But its a leap in budget from the $20 selfie cam toys below that with wibbly wobbly footage and dire photos lookong like theyre from a keychain cam.

Whilst everyone is fussing over $1000 drones, having to deal with licenses and insurance, damage and loss, I'm still trying to justify the expense, and click the buy button. I'll do it soon. Maybe. Probably 🫣 Ill go and watch some more videos on it....

There is so many drones built by the same manufacturers in China that are sold on Temu, DH, and other trading sites. Can you review the DJI clones?

I am a seller of photovoltaiksystems and I need a drone to do fotos of the roofs for the system planning.
The problem is I am one eyed and two dimensional, so flying by myself would be very dangerous.
Is there an automated solution I dont need to fly myself, which I could send out for roof pictures and it would come back all alone without me stearing it?

I have the mini 2, and if you're new to this, it works like magic, the camera stabilization is insane, the drone hovers in one spot, it lands itself, finds back home if signal lost, it's super fast, the picture is clear, records in 4k, long flight, long reach. But then someone buys a $100 clone, that looks almost exactly like the mini, and it has all the features of the mini, but it's terrible at every one of them and you're thinking, so what if it's only 1080p, that's good enough, right? And then you see the video and it's ridiculous. So if you want to hate your new hobby, just buy the cheapest knock off you can find.

Pretty good video, but what about the $100 drone? Drones have been around for a long time now. Why aren't there quality drones for under $50 USD?

I suspect people tell you there are photographer because they are or at least that's what they want from a drone and a person flying FPV aerobatics has different needs and requirements than a photographer does for example I am a photographer that's why I wanted a drone I don't care how aerobatic it is as low as it could fight strong winds I just want to send the thing up and get pictures and video so I am more interested in the picture and video capabilities of the drone once the actual drone capabilities meet my minimum needs

I don't care how aerobatic it is I don't care if it can do flips that stuff doesn't matter to me I just want to send the thing up get a video get a picture bring the thing back

Absolute respect to you for the quick lesson, but your tone throughout was disenheartening. It's as if you think these "kid" drones are a bad idea. Why? I can tell you now, I haven't bought a drone yet but I fly RC Electric planes. When I got my first plane, I got it at Walmart for $35 (US) and aside from the price, I got it because I knew nothing about flying them. Basically this was my two channel plane so....I needed to learn. I'm not going to go and buy a $250 plane to learn on because it will crash, more than 30 times, so repairs are easy. When it was on the last leg of its life, I salvaged the moto, ESC and other items. (I agree with you about the military stuff) Doing the salvaging it paid off as I read more and more about the planes and making my own.
Thing is, in today's or really any economy, I refuse to spend more than $65 in order to learn. Same will go for drones as well. I'm not gonna spend a ton of money on something that is going to crash several times as I learn.

Honestly it's hard to find any drone that wouldn't cost 3 months worth of salary in my country. So yeah, as long as it has decent gps I'm fine with it.

I'm absolutely with you - What does this come down to? You don't have to buy a drone from the so-called "market-leader" to get great value for money. But you also have to step down from all your expectations. Be a little more realistic. Then train yourself with what you got. Most of the cheaper drones aren't really bad, they are only limited in some niche aspects. With the knowledge of these limitations and how to deal with them, these drones are very good and safe to fly with.

I just ordered a cheap $100 Drone off of amazon. Just to get an idea of what i like and dont like and then i can decide on a legit drone for use during camping trips and offroad trips.

I don't think there is anything wrong with $50 drones. I got a Drocon Bugs 3 in 2021 to fight Covid boredom. It was like $48 bucks on Amazon ($60 minus a lightning deal) and I still enjoy flying it years later.

Great video. But I have a drone with the name SG 906 max 2 Beast. It's have 4k, obstacle avoidance sensor, (Can take it off and on) . Stabilisation something I don't remember the name on😂 But it's does so your picture get so much stable. Range is 3 video to 4 km range. And have 30 min flytime. But it cost around 300 dollar for the lowest price I think. Sry my english

For £100 I have a stripped down second hand Parrot Bebop2. With an XT60 soldered in so I can run a 30min battery. It is really high quality 1080p and can go to 2km away with GPS return to home. It's fun. Flying $1000 dollars worth isn't fun if it doesn't come back.

Can you recommend a drone that can drive for me, cook breakfast and ask me how my day went? I have a theoretical degree in physics.

All jokes aside, I'm almost tempted to buy my first drone but I have zero use for one for now.
