So Intel invested the most in EUV RND but failed to integrate the technology and that’s why in a nutshell they failed to deliver 7nm and 5nm nodes on time and continually to fall behind the leading edge? The Chips Act funding won’t help Intel’s already delayed one of the planned fabs in Ohio largely because of the hurdles to qualify for DEI based funding provisions in the chips act.

When you have science passionate engineers leading tech companies, the company will bloom.
When you have "CEO's" (out of economics/management colleges that spent 60% of their time playing beerpong), focused in stock markets, leading tech companies... The company will slowly fade with the wind.

You think electronics are expensive now? wait till your forced or taxed into buying stuff made with chips in them made in the USA. You can doubled, if not triple the cost of your phones. because you have to pay the 100% made in America fee/tax on all of it. There is reason we do HORRIBLE in the world market. other than weapons of war which is out #1 export we have priced ourselves out of the world market do to pure unadulterated American GREED! it's on us. not china or any other country. the rest of the world has grown tired and rejected the made in America fee/tax on american products.

USA probably has more advantage by sabotaging the Chinese manufacturing line once in awhile rather than driving them to become independent of the entire supply chain....

From a political point of view... this is perhaps helping China even more in the long run. Made a couple of American companies lose a huge chunk of customers from China. The chips coming out from China in future may eventually outcompete America's in a decade.

It be nice if Intel could brand their chips properly. I’m What you to call the computer geek, and frankly, their naming schemes are deplorable and sometimes quite misleading. That does not Foster enthusiasm for Intel. It’s just creates more confusion.

Intel and other chip makers wants the taxpayer to pay for the R&D costs to make such machines. That would be $300 Billion, to start with, then another $300 Billion to get it built, then another $300 Billion to get it into production.

Actually, if the US producer were required to keep a set of all their machines (maintained) that where used in any defense production, or risk loosing their patents and fined and forced to let another producer manufacture their products, their would not have been any problem for all sales to the US government and government contractors.. and this also would apply to software also... Then most, if not all problems, would have been adverted. Corruption runs deep and actually seems to cost little. The cost to rebuild now is astronomical, with funds being spend elsewhere at this present time trying to hold a grip on 'venues' that are now doing these jobs.
