(other perspective) EPIC GAMES Ark Join lost connection FIX! How to JOIN an Ark Server
A few people had issues and said they would appreciate seeing it from the other perspective, I also try to clear up a potential issue people had with connecting, which is that they accidentally use their own ip to try to connect. So make sure you use the hosts ip to connect, and if you're having issues, try making them host, and if it works for them you might be able to talk each other through and see where you went wrong.
1. JOIN SINGLE PLAYER WORLD
2. Press tab
3. Type “open” without the quotes, press spacebar, and paste in the ipv4 address from hamachi. It will look like this: open 192.168.0.1
4. Press enter

3 years later and epic further ruining ark, my friend and I have ran into a few other problems. The person on epic games cannot do the open [ip] command or any other command anymore so now the person on steam has to join the egs friend's server. But then the steam friend keeps timing out of the server, likely because the egs friend has an older version of ark for some reason

I have issue with the patch mine is 357.3 the server is 357.4[unofficail] i cant update it in epic game. it show no update for whatever reason. when trying to join it said connection timeout

This wont work for me and my friend, every time our games just freeze and then kick us out with a message that says "Lost/Timedout connection to host." We followed every step to a T and i just wont work.

OK.... so I have done everything on the video... my friend is loading the session but he gets a connection timeout.... how can we solve this... pls help
