Thank you. I didn't know anything about Google Drive Streaming. I know they provide 15GB; I wonder how much they charge for the extra storage. I'll have to check.

NEVER save your files on GD - it randomly deletes files - i hoped to take all files on new laptop and then i found out that more than half of my files just dissapeared and dissapeared randomly - so i had part of files on and part of files missed...
i'll never use clouds anymore - better i'll have couple of external harddrives

This is all fine and dandy, but I am working on a game in a program that needs constant access to my file source and if the internet is ever out, or there's a sudden power failure, that causes a disruption of the streaming, this can really mess up your day. Is there no way to choose certain folders in Google Drive to sync the old way? I tried turning on this "Available offline" option and now the chosen folder has no "synced" icon next to it, and I'm not seeing any extra folders popping up on my desktop and I'm terrified that it's just deleting everything in my folder on Google Drive, without me getting any kind of backup locally. Someone please clarify this for me ASAP.

some says drive is so secure, no inside job, no spy by bog. etc it is secure as you got a *2 authentification and a strong password

others says it is not gov can read your data, and an inside job is possible

Thanks for the video. I switched my data from evernote to google drive as evernote was being slow after their new updates. Now I can work with the notes, files in drive and google keep along with having access of all my photos in google photos in a single subscription.

Great information - REALLY annoying repetitive background music. After a few minutes it's just... jarring. Consider not using that track in the future please.

I wouldn’t keep any files on a google service, or any big tech company for that matter. They can’t be trusted with privacy/security

Would you recommend this to store my clients taxes? Instead of old school filing cabinets?

I love the idea of utilising Google’s cloud ecosystem, and the Nest Mini is a beautiful device, but after what they did to the creator of Terraria, I just can’t trust them.

Excellent! This was great. We make videos of our family's world travels and we are constantly running out of space on our computers. Looks like this will do the trick!

how would I get my files from the clouc if my pc is down. I know I can get them if their on my pc! Just take the hard drive out and connect it to another pc. Online files I don't think you can! You need internet access!

Hi, I have shared only one folder (a very important one) using google file stream. Now I want to delete few files from google file stream, while I want those files unaffected in the shared folder.
My question is, if I delete one file from file stream, will it also delete the file in the folder of PC?

I've used Google Drive for the past few years but have been increasingly concerned over the security of my data. Do you have any videos where you touch on taking extra measures to encrypt or keep our data within the drive safe? In other words, is it worth keeping the drive in a virtual machine or vpn?

I am on gsuite, subscribed to a business plan, and have unlimited google storage. I am now backing up my photos/videos that are currently stored in my external hard drive and computer to my google photos. However, it stopped backing up and gave me a notice that "computer disk storage is almost full!" I don't understand why that is happening and how to fix it. I hope you can help. Also should I be backing up using google photos or good drive? What is the difference? Thank you in advance!

But what about a 100Mb file and saved change to it that's only a few Kb? Does Google Drive / File Stream upload the entire file, or is is smart enough to do differential (delta) sync? If not, the whole idea of a "server in the cloud" is pointless for those who work on large files (eg. Photoshop, videos, etc.). Even with the file downloaded locally, at some point, one is uploading tons of unnecessary file data just to get a saved new version into the cloud.
