My favorite cold call story involves calling a VP at a +$1BN credit union 46 times over 2 years to get a meeting
He included his director on the first meeting (I had only called her 34 times beforehand)
They ended up buying a $60k license, we were on a texting basis, & he retired right before implementation lol
Two lessons here:
1. Obsess over the process and emotionally detach from the results
2. Fortune is in the follow ups
I believe it requires the right mindset from the get go. We pay for our leads, and leads are limited. Commissions are around $150 to $250 per sale on average. I have to believe the leads are good and that hang ups and busy signals are just getting me closer to a sale, and then I have to make another one and another until it’s time for bed. There will be weeks on end with no sales and days with 5-7 sales. It takes a lot of mental focus, positivity and stamina.
ОтветитьBro I just watched your playlist and I genuinely feel like you have changed my life for the better. I already know what I have to do. All I need are people to remind me that I am doing the right stuff. I just need to have a better attitude.
ОтветитьThe tips you gave are so spot on. I’m a starter but I have experience in business I just never needed to cold call - on my new bus. startup I need to cold call and it seems like it came to me naturally bc I started giving tips to my friends watching me without even having prior experience. Those tips being half of why you said in this video I’m obsessed with the process and laugh at reactions . I love the feeling and speaking so fluently at a high level Great content - will be watching more
ОтветитьHi Trent. Great video - one question: will the age I sound (I’m 16) affect convergence rates?? If so, how can I counter attack that. Thanks!!

ОтветитьYou've really inspired me the last couple years. I've been in sales since 2020 in real estate and medical happy herbs the last couple years, and you are the one that has pushed me over the edge to do software sales. Starting next Tuesday, I'm nervous because I know the huge challenge coming, but also very very excited to push myself to the next level in life.
Just picked up your cold calling guide! Thanks for everything.

ОтветитьThank you soo much for making Cold Calling videos Trent! I’ve been performing extremely well as a BDR after watching all of your videos. Pls keep making more videos tailored to BDRs/SDRs
ОтветитьTrent, were you ever in a closing role? How many cold-call videos do we need to hear? Eventually, your audience needs to learn how a sales-cycle works, and how to create a "business-case" from where the customer is vs. where they want to go with the selected vendor.
ОтветитьReally helpful!! Thanks Trent 💯
