GE90-85B, eh? I worked for that company as a Contractor for one year, just after earning my Bachelor's degree. Jack Welch taught greed and profits to today's business world. Jack got a lot of help from the former Spokesman for GE, the guy heavily backed by GE's television network (and others) that became President and INCENTIVIZED greed, ending the reinvestment of profits back into the company.
Meanwhile the majority are still donning catcher's mitts, waiting on that trickle down.
Douglas C47 Dakotas were built during the war yet many flew commercially for decades. Boeing it would appear, cannot even build a plane safe for flight with modern technology. Why? Oh no... Is that a Boeing flying over me right now? Yikes!!
ОтветитьI almost went out to Planespot that day in Vegas. That plane sat in Vegas for A LONG time!
ОтветитьBoeing with safety issues, they will kill a lot of people.
ОтветитьBoeing does NOT make the engines Alice.
ОтветитьJunk company
ОтветитьBOEING, A previously amazing and established aircraft company BETTER get its Shit together ! WHATS GOING ON FOLKS????
ОтветитьCan someone explain why pilots don't have 'wing mirrors' or cctv so they can see the plane behind them, the engines, the wings etc?
ОтветитьIs a 777 bigger than a 747 ?
ОтветитьI WAS ON RADIO STAFF OF A BRITISH WEATHERSHIP AND OF ALL THE PILOTS WE HAD TO DEAL WITH SPEEDBIRD PILOTS WERE THE BIGGEST REAR ENDS WE HAD TO SERVICE. AND THE LAZIEST.
WE HAD A CREW MEMBER WHOSE WIFE HAD AN EMERGENCY. WE WOULD ASK PASSING AIRCRAFT IF THEY WOULD "TAKE A MESSAGE" FROM OUR STAFF MEMBER TO HIS SICKLY WIFE. AMERICAN CREWS WERE GREAT, THEY PROVIDED DAILY HEALTH UPDATES, THESE DEVELOPED INTO TAPE RECORDED MESSAGES. A FEW AMERICAN CREWS EVEN VISITED THE PATIENT BEARING FLOWERS.
AND SPEEDBIRD? ONE OF THOSE BASTARDS REPORT THE REQUESTS.
SPEEDBIRD - A BUNCH OF A**EHOLE.
FIGURES HAS GOT TO BE YEARS NOT INTERESTED
ОтветитьMaybe illegal done that .
ОтветитьI LOVE this channel!!!
Ответить543million views
ОтветитьI flew the 777 for years and never had a problem
ОтветитьSNAFU !!
ОтветитьBoeing has not been doing very well the last few years... scary
ОтветитьAn episode of Mayday: Air Disaster covered this mishap.
ОтветитьI wish TheFlightChannel would reply to my comment if he uses a flight simulator or not
ОтветитьIn cases of an engine fire prior to take-off, onemight assume that the immediate shut-down of all engines would be imperative. Not so, apparently-at least at that time of these incidents-which begs the question: is the absence of a specific command in a checklist, of itself, sufficient to countermand common sense?
ОтветитьWhat really erks me is they can make cameras for cellphs to spy on us but cant put cameras on planes to show the pilots what s happening outside the plane .Nutters
ОтветитьI had to stop watching this simulated video after the first ten seconds when the narrator stated that this aircraft was departing the “Las Vegas Airport”. There is no such thing as the Las Vegas airport. So, if the first ten seconds is incorrect, how can you believe any of the rest of it?
ОтветитьWhy did the dumbass flight attendants open the left doors near the fire ???? The firetrucks are going to be spraying there. They should only evacuate on the right side of the airplane !
Aarre Peltomaa
In the second video, the flight attendants opened the right hand doors, even though the fire was on the right side of the airplane ?! Why ? Aarre Peltomaa
ОтветитьBoeing problem
ОтветитьIn a way, they were lucky that the engine blew out before departing, not in the air !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
ОтветитьMy first thought was "Why the hell is the plane not being evacuated?" They need to put a step onto a checklist to tell the pilot to get the people of the plane? I'm no pilot but my first command would be "Get these people off the plane ASAP". Like this will help people with a fear of flying...like me. Booze helps.
ОтветитьAgain... audio needed for all video typed comments.
Can't recommend this channel.
What happens to the doggies and kitties in the cargo area? I would be trying to rescue my dog from the cargo area.
ОтветитьThis is a bit like what happened to B-18616 on August 20th 2007!
Ответить💚💚🌻🌻
ОтветитьI can't believe that they had to change procedures to shut BOTH engines/fuel down upon an engine fire. How frigging dumb is that? That's just common sense 101. SMH.
Secondly, those engine extinguisher switches should have ONE option only: to discharge EVERY bottle at once-regardless of engine fire size - especially when pilots can rarely see the size of the fires from the cockpit anyway.
In addition, it should be the pilots' redundant duty to come over the PA system with an immediate evacuation order instead of relying solely on the flight attendants to contact the captain for permission. That or an "evacuate immediately" button in the cockpit which plays an automated sound plus a warning tone. That stupid intercom mistake almost got people burned alive.
And lastly, stupid passengers who even attempt to retrieve luggage or carry-on in an emergency evacuation should be criminally prosecuted for the crime of recklessly endangering the lives of others, as mere suggestions from the flight attendants don't seem to work. Once that's through their heads before boarding, they might stop pulling that crap.
GE engines always have been crap ever since the DC-10
ОтветитьI’m literally at las vegas 💀
ОтветитьA bit too much wind noise in the sound from the airport (in the beginning). Otherwise a good sound job!
ОтветитьAgainst all negative comments, I ❤ like this channel. Thank you for your effort!🎉❤😊
ОтветитьForeign and DEI manufacturing processes. Good thing none of the rescue/emergency workers were DEI's.
ОтветитьHonestly find it impressive that despite the fire, the BA 777 was back in the air by March 2016.
ОтветитьIf it's a Boeing, are you really going?
ОтветитьOmg you gonna die now😮
ОтветитьI was in the emergency window seat port side in Pittsburgh once. We sat on the taxiway waiting for weather to pass for about an hour. After which the pilot started up the port side engine and immediately a huge plume of smoke came out from the engine. I was looking at the window when this occurred. I turned to the guy beside me almost immediately and said... We are going no where. After about another hour at the gate they said they would have to deplane us. "NO way!" I said sarcastically. Ended up flying us in another plane after a 5 hour delay. Glad it happened on the ground instead of up in the air!
ОтветитьThere are millions of flights per year and accidents are very rare. But . . .
ОтветитьLegendary British airways is up there with Pan Am as one of the world’s classic aeroplanes
ОтветитьI had an old work colleague who was on this flight. She mentioned just how selfish some people were in being more interested in retrieving their stuff from the overhead lockers rather than evacuating the aircraft.
Everyone was incredibly lucky that nobody died that day.
