uad apollo twin x adapter does not have three pin plug, only two, All the wires whether mic, Headphones or monitors is connected to twin x all have electric
current, In our studio earthing cable is properly connected, But apollo has only two pins in its adapter, I'm getting electric shocks by apollo, please solve the problem, Thanks

I sold my Apollo Twin X because I couldn't bypass the preamps. They want me to pay $1200 for an interface that can't bypass the preamps and plus the converters are subpar. I switched from Apollo to RME for these two reasons.

Could you guys briefly explain what the reversed polarity does to a recording?

Bought ours 5 years ago and it just died. Absolutely terrified to buy another unit. Love the unit, love the plug ins...but be warned...these things don't last long.

I’m about to pull the trigger and buy the Apollo interface

But the issue and reason I’m asking

Is in order for my PC to accept thunderbolt I’m going to need to upgrade the motherboard

I just want to know if I should pull the trigger on the twin duo (USB) for Windows

Or get the Apollo twin x ( thunderbolt)

(Because there both the same price point )

N wait till I can upgrade my PC

I wish to know if the upgrade is worth the time I’d be waiting

Since I’ve heard the converters are better and pre amps are better

I’ve also heard low end is more controlled

But I’m going around asking

informative but honestly, Sweetwater this is not as useful ..... if you show the features thats cool, but if you praise every product you sell without pointing out the specific areas in which the product is NOT The Best, thats not cool and not revealing the truth about its limitations and weaknesses

if this can be done, i would really appreciate and value a pro's advice (but ofcourse this could affect the number of units you sell)

so my request is, be more real with the "flaws" and also this should be mentioned in comparison to its direct competition

for example " the Apogee Symphony desktop has better converters than the UA apollo, and has more detailed/ transparent pre amps, but has less outputs (cannot monitor a second pair of monitors). The Apollo has nice buttons that can be pressed instead of struggling with a touch screen on the Symphony desktop , which can take some getting used to , as not everything is a click away, and sometimes you may touch the wrong knob , like pre amp gain instead of monitor volume. Both now offer plugins to track with, however Apogee has just started this and their Neve emulation is not as good as the neve on the Apollo. The quality of the headphone output is better on the Apogee. The UA Apollo is thunderbolt on mac vs Apogee Symphony desktop is USB " -

this is the kind of stuff that would actually reveal the TRUTH and help us choose what to buy, based on what is priority for us......

Hey, I‘m thinking about getting an apollo twin x duo or quad. I don‘t think I would use UAD plugins that often tbh, so would it be better getting the duo for me?Getting the quad would only allow me to load more plugins, which is unnecessary in my case?

$1000... I hope this is a one time buy for what I need. Just need to record good vocals and tweak in my DAW.

Stupid question but the line 3/4 line outputs are only used for additional studio monitors not synths correct?

My old MK2 just shut off on me last night when I had it on, it’s bricked, too it to Guitar Center and they said it could be the power supply, otherwise if I can’t return it for a repair or to exchange it then UA has lost a customer as well as musician that WAS happy about it...it depends how they handle this now because nothing seems to work...

whats the difference from the MKII? can the apollo mark twin markii works on a thunderbolt 3 port?

Pardon my ignorance but what does it mean if my computer is thunderbolt 2 and the interface I want is thunderbolt 3?

Will it work using adaptor and will I be sacrificing anything since 3 is better/faster?

Are the plugins compatible with FL studio 10? It’s a little outdated but all I have right now most newish plugins or vst’s don’t seem to connect to it
