Ep 98 Why Can't I Cut My Clip in FCP?

I see that question all the time in the FCP facebook groups.

Bruh this has been driving me crazy thank you lol

OMG that is just the little bit of info I needed to answer one of those dormant sub-conscious questions. I knew about frames but didn't know detaching audio gave me an unlocked playhead to mess with audio. FCP is full of these little conveniences.

well...detach audio to remove it's relationship from video. which I consider destructive to keeping things in sync. or Command S to expand audio, T to Trim, and slide the audio, keeps things more preserved IMO.

at 44.1 kHz there are 1837.5 samples/frame… i think not 80
